With 275 illustrations in the text. Publisher's pictorial cloth, top edge gilt. Boards just slightly soiled, spine ends and corners slightly bumped and frayed, paste-down endpaper partly cracked, binding still firm. The portrait of Emin Pascha with some slight foxing and dampstaining at the edges, plate XXVI with ca 2 cm tear at lower edge, a couple of pages with a couple of tiny tears at the fore-edge, interior else fine. Important work on the exploration of central and eastern Africa.

Topografiska corpsen [1898] 57x30 cm. (3) s. (register) + 9 dubbelsidiga kartor i färg. Förlagets klotband med titel i guld på främre pärm. Pärmen rejält missfärgad, kartorna i fint skick. Utgiven första gången 1861, här reviderade kartor från 1890-talet.

Berlin, Ernst Siegfried Mittler und Sohn, 1908. 32,5 x 24,5 cm. X, 150 pp. + 63 plates with photographs and 1 folding map in colour. Contemporary, brown half leather binding with red spine labels, sparsely gilt spine and four raised bands, original front wrapper preserved. Corners just slightly bumped and rubbed, the original wrapper slightly soiled and with some pencil markings as well as small tear (ca 1 cm) and a couple of tiny holes at the upper edge. Interior slightly creased throughout at the upper corner, the folding map with a couple of tiny creases aat the corners, else fine.

William Rider and Son 1914. XXXVI, 353, (1); IX, 352, VII, (1) pp. Publisher's blue cloth. Vol. 1 with small tear at head spine, and between two sections, between p. 112 and 113 slightly loose in the binding. (See image.) Vol. 2 with slightly bumped lower backside corner and 1 cm tear in cloth at upper frontside corner. Both volumes lightly bumped at head and foot spines. Fore edges untrimmed. Both volumes has previous owner's name and date in ink on first free endpapers (which are slightly discoloured in both cases), exlibris and small sticker from Foyles bookstore, London, at first paste-down endpapers.

End-paper and title-page with contemporary owner signature. Overall a very good copy. Unfortunately the folding map of Europe is nor present in this copy.

Amsterdam, R & J Wetstein & G. Smith 1727 Fourth edition. 210; 153, (3) pp. + 98 engraved plates (of 99?). Contemporary calf, spine worn, new title label on spine. Unfortunately one plates is missing from this copy (pl. 16 in the fifth section), something is also missing from the beginning (half-title?, frontispiece?), title-leaf is mounted with small damages (no loss of text), one leaf with marginal repair, some leaves a little stained, mostly marginal, free end-papers missing, otherwise very good.

London, William Charlton Wright 1835. Third edition. Engraved title, 148, 4 (music), 149-198, (2) (publ cat) pp. + large folding engraved frontispiece + 1 folding engraved plate. Later, patterned covers, spine repaired at top, a bit loose in binding. Minor, marginell worming throughout, publ. Cat. Leaf repaired. Overall very good. From the preface; "this book is adapted to lay about in drawing-rooms - to be read in gardens and groves - to ornament the boudoir - for amusement in evening parties, as an innocent substitute for cards - to be consulted in every mood of mind and temper." Scarce.

Amsterdam, Jacobu de Veer voor Jan ten Hoorn 1694. 4:o. (16), 318, (2) pp. + 90 engraved plates (mostly folding). With large title vignette. Contemporary vellum, slightly soiled, hinges a bit weak. Unfortunately 6 folding plates seem to be missing from this copy. Book-plate and modern signature.

San Francisco, The Grabhorn Press 1954. 38,5x25,5 cm. (112) pp. With pictures designed and cut by Mary Grabhorn. Publisher's claf-backed boards. Corners a bit bumped but overall a very good copy. Printed in only 180 copies. Composed in inkunabula type founded by the Societa Nebiolo of Turin. Paper made by hand at the Tuckenhay Mills of Arthur Millbourn, Totnes, England.

London, printed for Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme and Browne 1820 4:o. XIII, (3), 149, (1), XXV pp. + 20 plates. Near modern cloth, dark red spine. Shaved upper edge, otherwise nearly uncut. Some leaves partly frayed in the margins. Some offsetting from plates to text, some spotting. Unfortunately the folding frontispiece is missing from this copy.

Publisher's red wrappers (15 volumes). In varying conditions, but overall a very good set. Collection of 15 translations of "Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung" ("The Little Red Book") into Portugese, Albanian, Thai, Nepalese, Bengali, Romanian, Esperanto, Croatian, Indonesian, Polish, Vietnamese, Norwegian, Italian, Swahili and Burmese. The majority printed 1967-1969.

Binding rather worn, upper cover soiled, plates in very good condition. Schadow (1764-1850), one of the major German sculptors of the classicist period. This is a detailed osteological atlas.

Lund, Berlingska Boktryckeriet 1822. XVI, 266; (2), 232 s. + 3 graverade, handkolorerade och utvikbara fågelplanscher. Bundna i ett samtida halvfranskt band, röda snitt. Ryggen lite nött, skadad upptill vid falsen. Ett blad med liten reva, ett blad med stor reva, några blad med marginalfläck. En plansch delvis brunad pga av kontakt med närmaste textblad. Huvudsakligen ändå ett bra exemplar. Insidan av främre pärm med namnteckning: Henrik Johan Hartwich, försättsblad med ägarblindstämpel: E.O. Regnstrand, Vadstena, även titelsidan med svag namnteckning av den sistnämnde.

Stockholm, J.P. Lindh 1797. (6), 128 s. + 3 utvikbara kopparstuckna planscher. Lite senare skinnband med ryggförgyllning. En plansch med liten reva, annars ett mycket fint och rent exemplar.

Publisher's decorated green cloth with marbled edges. Spine just slightly slanted, spine ends and corners partly bumped, front joint with shallow split measuring ca 7 cm. First free end paper with owner's rubber stamp, owner's signature on the half-title leaf, edges of the title-leaf somewhat yellowed. First edition of German geographer Hans Meyer's account of his expeditions to East Africa and his attempts to climb the Kilimanjaro.
