Stockholm & Göteborg 1874-1942. Varje volym innehåller ca. 600 s. + flera planscher och kartor. Illustrationer i texten. Bundna i 13 samtida halvfranska band. Genomgående gott skick. Bidrag till kännedom. . . var föregångaren till Göteborgs och Bohusläns Fornminnesförenings tidskrift som fick detta namn från 1914. Utgavs häftesvis men med bandnumrering där varje band täcker flera år. Vol. 1 innehåller bihanget: Ordbok öfver allmogemålet i Sörbygden, av Nils Fr. Nilén.

A very clean and attractive set in a near fine condition.

London, Rowland Ward 1902 XXIII, (1), 531 pp. + 12 pp. (publ. cat.) + photogravure frontispiece of Abyssinian Ibex + folding colour map (loose in a pocket at end). Photo illustrations in the text. Publisher's cloth, gilt lettering on upper cover and spine, zebra end-papers, spine faded. A few neat underlines in the text, edges slightly foxed. With a original handwritten letter from the author tipped in inside front cover.

Underlining and occasional marginalaia in twelve of the volumes. Jackets, to a varying degree, faded on spine, edgeworn and with some tears and chip, vol 3 with a larger chip on spine. Complete set of the English translation of Freud's complete works encompassing all twenty-four volumes (I-XXIV) including indexes and biographies.(Extra postage outside Sweden)

Unfortunately the leaf with printed dedication and portrait is missing from this copy. Covers with some soiling, lower cover of vol. 1 slightly damaged, last leaves of vol. 2 stained. Engraved title mounted. Title-page with old signature: Lars Klase. Overall still a very good copy. Parallel columns of Greek and Latin text.

Pp. 100. First three volumes in contemporary half calf, the next three in similar contemporary half calf, spines gilt. All spines worn and partly damaged. Vol. 4 is unfortunately missing the last 6 pages and a plate, vol. 5 is missing a folding table. Some pencil annotations in margins throughout, some occasional staining, 1 plate in first volume torn. This is the original Swedish edition of Berzelius' famous "Textbook of Chemistry", here without the rare Appendix to vol. 3. Vol. 1 is here in the second edition, corrected and enlarged. The German edition that followed brought the work to the attention of an international public and the work was later published in several languages. This general textbook came to be the primary source of knowledge for the chemists and pharmacists of the period. First three volumes have belonged to the Swedish chemist Carl Palmstedt (1785-1870), friiend of Berzelius and first head of what today is called Chalmers Tekniska Högskola. On first blank of the three volumes he has signed and written "Rese-Exemplar" in ink.

Samtida halvfranskt band, titeln i guld på främre pärm, marmorerade snitt. Ryggen lite nött, skadad nedtill, inlagan med enstaka lagerfläckar men huvudsakligen ett bra exemplar.

Stockholm, Niclas Wankijff 1671. (24), 725, (blank), 725-947, (11) s. Samtida pergamentband, med brun och grön ryggtiteletikett. Försättsblad med Sten Westerbergs, Beatelund, blindtryckta exlibris. Den graverade kartan, det graverade titelbladet saknas och det sällsynta indragna Eeeeee arket saknas som vanligt. Ett blad med lagning. Ett trevligt exemplar.

Stockholm, H. Fougt 1775 (22), 650, (26) s. + 11 utvikbara graverade planscher. Samtida skinnband, röda snitt. Ett mycket rent och fint exemplar, tryckt på skrivpapper. Med Julius Lagerhoms exlibris, första blanka bladet med gammal namnteckning. Andra betydligt utvidgade upplagan av Acrels opus magnum, denna upplaga utökad med graverade planscher. Den tyska upplagan har 12 planscher, den tolfte planschen återfinns ibland även i denna andra svenska upplaga men gavs alltså inte ut med denna.

Two first volume with old ownership signature: C. Iserhielm. Mevius (1609-1670), German jurist in Swedish service.

Senare pergamentband (ca. 1900), ryggskylt i skinn, marmorerade försättsblad (G. Hedberg). Omslag medbundna, det främre med tryckt titel. Exlibris för professorn vid Barnmorskeanstalten i Stockholm Mårten Sondén (1846-1913), med devisen Hvem visar väg till vett och visdom? Bandet lite skevt, pergamentet har släppt lite vid bakre pärm, annars ett mycket bra exemplar. Flera var inblandade i denna aldrig avslutade textdel till Dahlbergs Suecia antiqua et hodierna.

Dublin, William Porter 1803 First edition Engraved frontispiece, VII, (blank), 55 (2), List of subscribers, 4 pp. Contemporary marbled wrappers. Minor foxing to endpapers, else is content clean. The wrappers are worn and ocassionally chipped, front wrapper is partly detached from spine. Overall a good and rather well preserved copy. Irish vicar and playwright Matthew West (1749-1814) produced three tragedies, two of which were unstaged, a collection of poetry, and a lengthy compilation of sermons. Female Heroism, A Tragedy in Five Acts (1803) is West's final and only performed drama, about Charlotte Corday, a figure of the French Revolution. In 1793, she was executed by guillotine for the assassination of Jacobin leader Jean-Paul Marat.

Stockholm, Ivar Haeggströms Boktryckeri, 1879-1880 XXV, (1), LXXII, (2), 155, (1), 87, (1); XII, 172, (2), 72, (4) s. + sammanlagt 24 färglitograferade planscher. Illustrerad med träsnitt i texten. Första delen i ett något senare halvpergamentband med brunröd ryggtiteltikett, andra delen i ett senare, blågrönt halvmarokängband med marmorerade pärmpapper, övre guldsnitt och fyra upphöjda bind samt båda häftesomslagen medbundna. Första delen med något gulnade pärmar och rygg, inlagan med ett par sidor (smutstitelbladet samt sidan VI) delvis loss. Del två med svagt gulnad rygg, i övrigt mycket gott skick. Komplett uppsättning av av Stråles historik över Rörstrands och Mariebergs porslinsfabriker och deras tillverkningar. Ovanlig.

Berlin, Erich Reiss 1917. 38x34,5 cm. (30) pp. + 13 original lithographs. Original calf-backed boards. Unfortunately the spine is worn and defect at upper part. Internally very good. Printed in a limited edition of 200 numbered copies, this is no. 96.

Paris, au Bureau de la Pasigraphie 1797. First edition. 4:o. (4), 66, 63 pp. Contemporary half calf, spine with a minor damage, occasional foxing but overall a very good copy. A writing system where each written symbol represents a concept, made for constructing a universal written language. The German edition was published simultaneously.

London, Saunders, Otley & Co. 1863 First edition. LXIX, (3), 292 pp. Contemporary (publisher's?) cloth, gilt lettering on spine, gilt emblem on upper cover, spine slightly worn, hinges weak, front free end-paper missing. First blank leaf with stamp, two leaves with marginal blind-stamp, a few contemporary oval light stamps (hard to see what it says). This copy have belonged to the British author William Macpeace Thackeray. The half-title bears the inscription: "W.M. Thackeray Esq with the authors compliments", just below the inscription and on title-page there is a small oval blind-stamp (ownership-stamp of Thackeray). Verso of this page is an old inscription in German by a Franz Ludwig Lehmann which says that the book has belonged to Thackeray. Thackeray died late the same year this book was published.

Edition GKM Siwert Bergström 1996. 109 pp. + 3 original screenprints in colour, signed by Corneille. Richly illustrated by Corneille van Beverloo in both colour and b&w. Publisher's red cloth with gilt spine and front board. Book and prints are housed in publisher's blue cloth portfolio with gilt title to spine and "Corneille" gilt on front board. Slight scratches to the gilding, else very good condition. The screenprints are in excellent condition. Poems by Maria Wine in Swedish with French parallell text. Signed by both Wine and Corneille on half title. Limited edition in 150 copies (200 in total), of which this is no 88. With 3 original screenprints ("L'oiseau exotique"; "Doublement féline"; "Après la pluie, le beau temps", all 40x30 cm) by Corneille, printed on Aquarelle Arches Torchon paper.

Printed for the Proprietors, London, [1798]. First edition. VIII, 4, 439, (1) pp. + 13 plates, of which two are fold-outs and one is hand-coloured. Contemporary blue boards with sprinkled edges and sparsely gilt spine label. Corners bumped, spine and boards slightly rubbed. Interior with some very occasional foxing and a couple of tiny chips and tears.The plates with some dampstaining (mainly) in the lower margins, plate 12 slightly creased at lower corner. All in all quite an attractive copy, despite the minor remarks. Condition Very Good to VG-. The Philosophical Magazine was founded by Alexander Tilloch in 1798 and is one of the longest-running scientific journals published in English. This is the first volume published, and contains articles on such diverse topics as Humboldt's 'On the Effects of Oxygen in Accelerating Germination', Schrader's 'Description of the Mechanism of a Reflecting Telescope twenty-Six Feet in Length Constructed Near Kiel in Holstein', Abbé Hauy's 'On the Theory of the Structure of Crystals' and many other articles on topics such as zoology, chemistry, physics and botany. With a beautifully hand-coloured plate depicting the 'Jumping Mouse of Canada'.

Paris, Edition du Trianon 1931. 23x18,5 cm. 196, (4) pp. + 64 photographic plate-pages + 14 plates of stage designs, coloured au pochoir (in a separate folder). Original printed wrappers with colour design by Fernand Léger, plates in separate, original folder, both in publisher's marbled slip-case with printed title label. Slightly loose in binding, overall still very good. Contributors to the coloured plates i.a: Bonnard, Chirico, Dardel, Foujita, Léger, Nerman and Steinlein. Printed in 1.000 numbered copies, this copy is unnumbered.

Open-sewn cloth-backed printed boards. Cover to vol. 5 slightly stained but overall a very good set. First part complete, a second part was published in six? parts and were devoted to the Chinese Pantheon of religious figures.

Samtida skinnryggsband med präglade främre pärmar, titel i guld, planscherna löst liggande i dekorerat grönt originalklotband, knytbanden trasiga, ryggen lite skadad. Volym 1 av texten delvis lagerfläckad, några blad kraftigare, annars ren och fin. Planscherna delvis lite fläckiga, några med mindre marginalreva. Några rättelselappar och en provisorisk förteckning (2) s. saknas i detta ex. Verket kom ut i 40 häften. Sundevalls medverkan avslutades med s. 352 och häfte 22. De litograferade planscher utfördes av Peter Åkerlund och Paulina Sjöholm.
