With numerous woodcut text illustrations after Jost Amman. 2 parts in one volume, later paste-paper over wooden boards, some wear. Separate title-leaf to old testament is missing from this copy, otherwise complete. Old underlines and annotations in the text throughout, general title a bit worn and with old signatures, hinges reinforced. Some staining throughout the text but overall still a very good copy. 2 book-plates.

Pärmhörnen något stukade, inlagorna endast ställvis svagt lagerfläckade, några sidor lite hårt skurna i marginalen, någon enstaka sida med nagg elller reva i marginalerna. Fin uppsättning.

Hamburg, B.G. Hoffmann 1801. First edition. (2), XIV, 312, (2) pp. + 14 aquatint platesr by C.G. Gillberg och C.F. Akrell(all but one folding) Contemporary cloth, spine sparsely gilt, cover decorated in blind, sprinkled edges. Spine faded, small stain to upper cover, one leaf with minor damage to text, without loss, title-page with small, partly erased ownership stamp. The errata-leaf is unfortunately missing from this copy. Overall a very clean and attractive copy with almost no foxing. (Neuere Geschichte der See- und Land-Reisen, 15.)

Lübeck 1864-1932. 4to. Ca 8500 pp. 57 parts with publisher's printed wrappers, some parts with loose wrappers, but in all a very good set. One part (Sechster Theil, fünfte und sechste Lieferung) is missing. Codex Diplomaticus Lubecensis.

Chez Jeanne Bucher 1937 28x20 cm. 35, (3) pp. With three drawings by Tanguy. Loose, as issued, in original printed covers, top of spine damaged, upper edge of cover chipped, otherwise very good. One of 25 copies on "papier Le Roy Louis teinte Normandie", this is no. 7, of an edition of a total of 130.

XV, (1), 288 pp. + 19 plates (of 20) + XII, 280, (4) (publ. cat.) pp. + 20 plates + VI, (2), 294, (2) pp. + 20 plates + X, (2), 292 pp. + 20 plates + XI, (1), 290, (2) pp. + 17 plates (all). Publisher's green blind stamped full calf bindings, spines gilt, all edges gilt. One plate is unfortunately missing from vol. 1. Three volumes with weak hinges, some plates foxed, occasional light foxing in the text. Overall still a very good set.

London, Bradbury and Evans 1855-1857. First edition 40 plates and front covers by H. K. Brown. Most of the advertisments missing. Original pictorial blue paper wrappers, partly worn. Front cover of part XV repaired with loss of a part of the picture and overleaf text. The back cover of part XIX-XX not the original. Most of the spines with damages at bookplate. In calf-backed fall-down-back box, in marbled slip-case. Minor stain to spine otherwise very good. This copy has belonged to the Swedish collector Thore Virgin with his gilt monogram stamp on upper cover.

London, Sold by J. Clark Engraver & Printseller in Grays-Inn 1736. Engraved title, engraved list of engravers + 100 engraved plates of monograms (6 on each plate). Renovated contemporary calf, later spine, hinges weak, small damages to covers, title-page and engravers page with tear and small damage, first two plates with defective margins, not affecting images, plates otherwise in very good condition.

Erlangae, J.J. Palm 1822-1828. (4), 356; (2), 214, (2); (4), 282, (2) pp.+ 30 engraved plates. In one vol, near contemporary half calf, spine rubbed, two pages stained, front inner hinge discreetly reinforced, otherwise a very good copy. N.B. The plates are not coloured in this copy. A mycological classic by Persoon (1761-1836), Dutch botanist who wrote a few important mycological works. Cancelled leaves are also bound in in this copy: pp. 91-94, 153/154, 159/160 in part 1 and 25/26 in part 2.

Oslo, Johan Grundt Tanum 1950. 39,5x31 cm. 29 pp. + 214 plates (no. 1-198, except no. 97, which was never published, no. 34 in colour + 17 unnumbered plates). Bound in contemporary cloth. A very good copy. (The City of Oslo Art Collections, The Munch-Museum Series No. II.) Due to very heavy book, higher shipping costs required.

Spine and parts of covers sunned and damp-stained (esp. the rear cover), spine slightly slant, gift inscription on first free endpaper by previous owner. Contents clean, binding tight. Condition: Very Good.

Contemporary calf, worn, joints cracked, the large plate worn at folding, a few stains, otherwise very good inside.

With numerous coat of arms and decorative, illustrative vignettes. Uncut copy in contemporary marbeld wrappers. Covers worn, spines missing or partly missing. Internally a very good and clean copy.

Graverat titelblad, (8), 46, 588; graverat titelblad, (14), 574, (2) s; planschdel i liggande 4:o med 38 graverade planscher; planschdel i liggande 4:o med graverat titelblad + 53 graverade planscher i folio. Samtida halvfranskta band, lätt nötta, ett rygghuvud naggat, ett blad marginallagat. Den stora planschdelen i lite avvikande samtida halvfranskt band, nött rygg några planscher uppfodrade, ett par med lagade skador, någrade fläckade. Huvudsakligen ändå en bra uppsättning.

London, Chapman and Hall, 1864-65. 20 parts in 19 issues. As issued in publisher's printed wrappers. Interiors with some faint, occasional foxing, else fine. Parts 2, 3, 6, 8, 18 are unopened and near fine except for some occasional minor foxing, parts 7 and 9 just slightly soiled and with a couple of tiny chips, tears and creases along the edges, wrappers of parts 4, 5, 11, 13, 14, 16, 19/20 are soiled and chipped with rear wrappers loose, wrappers of part 12 somewhat soiled and chipped and with both wrappers loose, spines and wrappers of parts 1, 10 and 15 somewhat soiled and quite heavily chipped. All parts complete with advertisements except for the following parts: part 5 (3x21 cm of the margin torn out from page 5/6), part 10 (one slip missing (“New Serial by Capt. Main Reid”), ca 7,5 x 8 cm part torn out from page 1 of ad for ”Liverpool & London & Globe”), part 14 (all 16 pages of advertisements at the front torn out), part 15 (half of page 15-16 torn out from advertisements at the front, a total of 6 pages missing from the advertisements at the back (Liverpool & London & Globe (4 pp.) + Mappin, Webb & Co (2 pp.)) and part 19/20 (missing slip at the back (“Foreign Bank Notes”); two copies of ad, “The Scottish Widows' Fund”, of which one is loosely inserted and the other copy is torn with half the ad missing). Many diagrams, figures and engraved headpieces. Near contemporary full calf, spines sparsely gilt. Small damages to head and foot of spines, one leaf with tear, back free end-paper of vol. 1 torn out. Overall a very good copy. The standard textbook on navigation for the eighteenth century British navy. It was reprinted many times.

Stockholm 1881-2006. 1-71 i halvfranska band (lite nötta i början), resten i lite amatörmässigt gjorda halvfranska band, sista årgången i fyra häften.

Tours, Alfred Mame et Fils 1866. First edition. 43x32 cm. (10) pp, 912 cols; (6) pp, 942 cols, (8) pp. + numerous plates by Doré. Publisher's red cloth, decorated in blind and gilt. Some wear to covers, joints skillfully repaired, some minor damages. Still overall a very good copy.

Stockholm, Pet. Momma 1757 & 1756. Första delen i andra upplagan, andra delen i första. 4:o. Graverad titel, (32); (52) s. + 2 utvikbara tabeller + 51 dubbelsidiga graverade planscher. Samtida gråpappers omslag, lite nött, ryggen skadad. Delvis lite åldersfläckad, sista planschen lite mer fläckad, en tabell lite naggad i kanten, graverade titelbladet aningen skuren i nedre kant. Huvudsakligen ändå ett bra exemplar invändigt.

Upsaliae, Werner 1709. (16), 144 s. + graverad frontespis. Träsnitt i texten. Samtida pergamentband. Fint skick. Hyllningsdikten är inbunden i slutet av detta ex. Med Julius Lagerholms exlibris. Detta är Hoorns skildring av den anatomiska demonstrationen i Uppsala 1705. Hoorn höll i den tredje delen som avhandlade fortplantningsorganen. Ämnet var ömtåligt så denna, vår kanske första sexualupplysningsbok författades på latin. I texten finns avbildade bl.a. spermier, som Hoorn hade studerat i mikroskop, dessa avbildningar torde vara de första mikroskopbilderna i en svensk bok. Insidan av bakre pärm med Michael Hermonius namnteckning, daterad februari 1709. Hermonius (1680-1749), var präst och satt i riksdagen under flera perioder. Han var student i Uppsala när demonstrationen ägde rum och kanske en av de som var där?

Covers soiled and stained, lower part of spine skilfully repaired, first and last leaves a bit foxed at upper part, otherwise a very good copy. Printed in a limited edition of 750 copies, this is no. 393. This edition have two more plates than the trade edition.
