Holmiæ, ex officinâ Johannis Janssonii, Regii Typographi, 1654. Two works in one volume. (6) + 426; (8) + 168 p. Contemporary vellum with handwritten title on the spine. Owner's signature on the inside of the front board, Börje Knös. Some stains on the spine. Provenance: Börje Knös. This work is the most famous one, out of Loccenius' history books. In its first edition, he omits in the early kings that are now called fairytale kings, and only begin from the introduction of Christianity. This was considered very daring at that time, and in 1662 he published a second revised edition adding some gothicism to it.

Amstelodami, Guilselmus Blaeuw excudit, no year. (Around 1640.) A striking hand coloured map of Iceland. A stunning map, including an erupting volcano (Hekla), sea monsters, sailing ships, decorative cartouches, compass rose and the spectacular landscape of Iceland. The back of the frame have two boxes cut out so that you can read the french text on the backside of the map. Map: 39 X 51 cm. Frame: 53 X 64 cm. A fine map of Iceland, based on a map by Joris Carl (1601-25), a pilot from Enkhuizen. This map is one of the symbols of the intense rivalry between Jansson and Blaeu. Joris Carl's map was first engraved by Jodocus Hondius II (son of the firm's founder and Jansson's brother-in-law). When Jodocus died in 1629 many of his plates were sold to Willem Blaeu, who added his name to the plates and used them to publish his first atlas in 1630. Angered by the sale, Jansson had the Hondius plates slavishly copied.

Contemporary vellum with 5 raised binds and blind stamped boards. Owner's signature, Börje Knös. Some pages with small stains and spots. The boards are bending outwards. The title labels on the spines with some paperloss. Volume 2 with a stain on the front board. Volume 1 with two dent on the front boards upper edge. Provenance: Börje Knös.

Senare (troligen 1800-tal) halvskinnband med guldornerad rygg. 26,5 X 20 cm. Exemplaret har tillhört professor Ossian Dahlgren, Uppsala, och har hans namnteckning och stämpel. Det finns även flera andra namnteckningar. På främre pärmspegeln har tidningsurklipp klistrats in. Inlaga och planscher är i mycket gott skick. Ryggen är nött De sista 16 separat paginerade och medbundna sidorna är Carl Gustaf Warmholtz Catalogus variorum usque ad hoc tempus editorum operum circa rem nummariam in Suecia. Stockholm, 1780. Ossian Dahlgren (1888-1976) var biolog och botanist verksam i Uppsala. Han hade en omfattande samling numismatisk litteratur. Sondottern Eva F. Dahlgren publicerade en biografi över honom 2002 under titeln Farfar var rasbiolog.
