Theil 1: Titlepage with engraved vignette + 6 pages with dedications, the first with engraved vignette + 6 pages with preface + 154 pages (the first with engraved vignette) + 2 pages errata + 20 handcoloured engraved plates. Theil 2 (2ten Theils 1ste Ausgabe von Bogen A bis G + 2ten Theils 2te Ausgabe von Bogen F bis O): 56 pages + 9 handcoloured engraved plates. Contemporary half leather with red edges. 38 X 25 cm. Exlibris (Princesse de Stolberg). A third (1779) and a fourth (1810) part of Theil II were published. The spine is damaged at top and the corners bumped. The interior is in good condition, a few brownspots. The plates are in excellent condition.

Front outer hinge partly broken at top of spine. Old signatures. Stained on p. 118-119, 188, 327. P. 94-95 in the second part paginated doubly.

Contemporary half leather with gilt decorated spines with five raised bands. 20 X 12,5 cm. Old signatures on inside of front board (Pehr Hackman 1774, Henric Ericsson 1772, Gust. Svedelius 1785). Interior in good condition. Well-preserved bindings.

Paris, Rapet & Cie, 1817-19. 18 volumes. With engraved title, 2 engraved portraits, and 336 engraved plates (221 plates in the 12 volumes, and 155 in the Suite). Some foxing to plates and text. Contemporary half calf, marbled covers, spine gilt, slightly worn, some joints cracked. 21 X 14 cm.

Totalt 54 kromlitograferade planscher + 1 plansch i s/v (numrerade I-LIII). Planscherna med tunna täckblad. Gröna halvskinnband med fem upphöjda bind, marmorerade pärmar och övre guldsnitt. 34 X 27,5 cm, Tre planscher har lossnat och några är på väg att lossna. Planscherna i fint skick, i stort sett utan spår från de intilliggande täckbladen.

Av very few marginal annotations, minor foxing. Bookplate of Bibliotheca a Carolo Jedvarda Bonde collecta. The first edition was published in 1748. Provenance: The Bonde baronial family library at Ericsberg, Sweden.

Andra textdelen saknar graverat titelblad. Textdelarna är häftade och oskurna med samtida gråpappersomslag förvarade i gröna kassetter med skinnrygg och skinnhörn. Den stora planschdelen är häftad och oskuren med samtida gråpappersomslag och förvarad i en kassett med brun skinnrygg och skinnhörn. Lilla planschdelen är skuret och häftad med samtida gråpappersomslag. De gröna kassetterna är 26 X 21 cm, den bruna stora kasseten är 48 X 64 cm. I stora planschdelen har plansch XIV liten fläck och plansch XVII är lite smutsad. De fyra sista planscherna i lilla planschdelen har fuktrand. Båda textdelarna har fin inlaga, endast smärre svaga åldersfläckar. Komplett i fyra volymer. Trevlig uppsättning. Flera bilder kan fås på begäran.

Några sidor lagade med liten textförlust. Blad 118 och 119 i sista arbetet med 4 cm reva i innerkant. Blad 126, 127 och 128 saknas i sista arbetet. Försättsbladet med övre hörnet borta. Henrik Smid föddes i Malmö. Som ungdom reste han mycket utomlands, tog examen från Rostocks universitet och studerade också vid universitetet i Wittenberg. Henrik Smids bok har haft stor betydelse för dansk farmaci och har blivit omtryckt många gånger genom 350 år.Henrik Smid dog av pest och är begravd i Malmö.

I denna svit ingår de sällsynta första delarna.Svenskt Diplomatarium publicerar bevarade medeltidsdokument (diplom). Dessa finns bevarade antingen som original på pergament eller papper eller i form av senare avskrifter (medeltida eller eftermedeltida). Språket i texterna är oftast på latin eller fornsvenska men ibland förekommer medellågtyska. Bilden föreställer del 1-3 av hela sviten.

Some leaves in the middle of part II with worming in inner upper margin, some minor and other marginal worming.

Uncut in later brown gilt morocco. Lacking half title. Text only partly dampstained in beginning. First edition published in 1798-1802.

Engraved frontispiece, engraved portrait, 4 folding engraved maps and 47 engraved plates, of which 18 are folding (light watermarks affecting some leaves). Modern half calf, marbled boards, spine gilt, new endpapers. 27,5 X 22 cm. Text in Dutch. Fourth edition of the Oost-Indische Voyagie with somewhat altered title. The book was first printed in 1676. The author had been as a surgeon from 1658 to 1665 on the services of the Dutch East India Company. Besides his ethnographical and geographical description he gives ample information about the various wars and battles between the Dutch, the Portuguese, and the various natives in the East Indies. A very nice and crisp copy.

Illustrated with several full-page woodcut illustrations. Later full dark red morocco, gilt spine with blank title label, slightly faded. New endpapers. 35,5 X 24,5 cm. Enclosed is a letter from previous purchaser to bookdealer Bernand Rosenthal, New York, regarding library stamps. Ulisse Aldrovandi (1522-1605), Italian natural scientist and physician, from 1553 professor in Bologna, where he founded a Botanical Garden and a Museum. He started producing a very extensive summary of natural sciences, but published only four of the volumes himself. He also made important contributions to pharmacology and published a Pharmocopé in 1574.

The Library of Imperial History, 1974-76. Centenary Limited Edition. 33 volumes. Illustrated with numerous photographic plates, maps and charts. Full vellum with all edges gilt, front boards gilt-stamped with the Churchill coat of arms in custom dark green slipcase. The slipcase also gilt-stamped with the Churchill coat of arms. Volume 20 is missing. Most of the volumes have gotten darker in the vellum. Some of the slipcases worn on the surface. The Collection is issued as a limited edition of 3000 sets in total and contains all 50 of Churchill's published titles, arranged in 34 volumes. Four volumes of Essays were published three years later in matching format and were not issued with this set. The photo shows two volumes in the series.
