First half of the book is a history of bathing equipment and bath houses from Greek and Roman antiquity to the 19th century; the second half deals with the design of modern bathing establishments, with emphasis on Germany.

Pp. 81-112 (which include the colour drawings) printed on glossy white paper, the others on ordinary wartime paper which is in fine condition though evenly age toned as ususal, as are the wrappers which are slightly faded, with a small neat repair at top of backstrip. (Collection Ascoral dirigée par Le Corbusier, 1). A good copy of the scarce first edition of Le Corbusier's work on urban design published as the ASCORAL publication no.1 - written in 1943 but, due to the war, not published until 1946.

(Studien zum Kölner Dom, 4). Exhaustive, well-documented history and documentation of the vast and thoroughgoing completion undertaken 1816-1902 of the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom). Construction of the edifice began in 1248 but was halted unfinIshed in 1473. The cathedral completed, essentially to the original mediaeval plan, is the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe.
