STIM / Svensk Musik, Stockholm 2001. 144 pp. Soft cover with d/w. Slightly worn wrapper. 20x20 cm. 2 CD.

Since its inception in 1965 the Swedish Music Information Centre has acted as a centre for copyrighted Swedish music. The Swedish Music Information Centre exists to disseminate information about copyrighted Swedish music and to make it more readily available. Music has primarily been spread, nationally and internationally, by means of printed scores and recordings. Composers whose music is not in the first instance documented on record or in print are more difficult to introduce widely. Spreading information about people who are active in various types of performance, noise and action is problematic. This reality gave rise to the idea of producing a book with these artists in focus. To bring the works presented in the book to life, two CDs of sound samples have been appended. The volume is also richly illustrated with pictures from different performances. (Seelig).
