Fint exemplar av denna sällsynta katalog, bunden i ett klotryggsband där pärmarna klätts med tapet vars mönster skapades av Uno Åhrén för Hemutställningen; de tryckta omslagen medbundna (det främre med liten bläckfläck nedtill). Katalogen över den legendariska Hemutställningen, ett genombrott för Slöjdföreningens yngre och radikalare falang. Utställningen föregicks av en tävling i tre klasser: 1. Enkelrum med kakelugnsspis, 2. Bostadskök med ett rum, 3. Två rum och kök. Ytterligare tävlingar tillkom om ugnar, spisar och kaminer, samt om nya bohagsting. Fotografierna visar rum skapade och inredda av Uno Åhrén, Carl Malmsten, Gunnar Asplund (bostadskök) och Ernst Spolén (kök), ugnar av Asplund och Ragnar Hjorth, bohagsföremål av porslin, glas och metall av Wilhelm Kåge, Edgar Böckman, Edvard Hald, Simon Gate, Edvin Ollers, Eva Jancke-Björk, Hakon Ahlberg, Paul Hedqvist, Folke Bensow, och Jacob Ängman, samt ritningar till arbetarbostäder av Gunnar Asplund.

An influential work on modern architecture, with an introduction that put the new style firmly in a line of descent from selected aspects of 19th-century designs and gave importance to he Expressionists and the Amsterdam school at a time when their reputations were declining. The introduction is followed by an 158-page survey of buildings designed by Bruno Taut, his brother Max, Mendelsohn, Döcker, Gropius, Mies, Scharoun, Häring, Ernst May, Josef Frank, Josef Hoffmann, van der Vlugt, Oud, Rietveld, Bohuslav Fuchs, Le Corbusier, Lurçat, Mallet-Stevens, and others. A truncated version in English, without the plans and sections, was published in the same year.

Paris 1969-72. 50x32. Each issue comprises 8 pages on two unstitched sheets, except the fourth (hors-série) 2-page issue printed on one sheet. Vividly illustrated with photos and collages in black and colour. A fine set, folded for mailing with a horizontal crease at center of each issue. A complete set including the rare fourth issue. Although Jean Schuster had been entrusted by André Breton the task of safeguarding the Surrealist heritage, in October 1969 he publicly announced the disbanding of the group in order to replace historical with eternal Surrealism, and launched the new journal Coupure with Gérard Legrand and José Pierre, whereupon Jean-Louis Bédouin immediately published a letter in Le Monde challenging Schuster's right to to act on behalf of the group. The contents is a motley of literature, art, and current events, including the hors série issue no. 4 which consists of texts from the prohibited Maoist journal La cause de peuple (and a quotation from Alfred Jarry) illustrated with a lithograph by René Georges Hermann-Paul showing a group of French military officers; this issue was declared illegal and confiscated by French authorities.

Light wear to the boards, contents fine. A photographic documentation of architectural ornamernt by the sculptor, goldsmith and art teacher Karl Gross (1869-1934). Gross contributed to the development of the German Jugendstil, and was involved in the ornamental design of numerous churches in Dresden. From 1914 he was Director of the Staatliche Akademie für Kunstgewerbe (from which he retired in 1933 as his ideals were confronted with the cultural politics of the Nazi regime).

Loose as issued, kept in three fine green/black cloth portfolios with gilt-lettered spines and tie-strings. The map is browned, one title leaf is chipped (not affecting text), otherwise fine. A monumental collection of elevations, sections, perspectives and plans of buildings in Rome, from Renaissance to latter day Classicism. Letarouilly, a pupil of Percier, first traveled to Italy in 1820 and began his sketches then. The published collection was widely consulted by the Classicist Revival architects in France and abroad. A text volume was published separately and is not present in this set.

Vargen var en stencillerad tidskrift med material som tillställdes redaktionen gratis eller hämtades ur andra tidskrifter och böcker, såväl som teckningar och collage av Carsten Regild samt texter av Rolf Börjlind och Jan Olof Mallander (för de två första numren ingick Mallander och Olle Granath i redaktionen). Ett minnesvärt inslag i Nr 3 är enkätsvaren till fyra frågor som skickades till bl.a. Erik Dietman, Harry Schein, Allan Fagerström, Kjell Alinge, Lars Gyllensten, Kerstin Vinterhed, Torbjörn Säfve och Mikael Wiehe. Nr 4 utgörs av 49 kopior av ett kedjebrev på engelska, där man under parollen Occupy the brain! bjuder in folk från hela världen att skicka in material (med ett första blad som återger texten på svenska), och Nr 5 innehåller bilder och texter som inkom från 24 länder, däribland svenska bidrag av bl.a. Jarl Ingvarsson, Bengt af Klintberg, Anna-Clara Tidholm, Ulf Lundell och Bruno K. Öijer. I Nr 6 är alla texter på engelska, även dem av Börjlind, Eric Fylkeson, Bruno K. Öijer, Bengt Emil Johnson, C F Reuterswärd, Ulf Linde, Olle Granath, och andra svenskar varav flera skulle bidra till Vargens utställning på Moderna Museet i November 1975. Nr 7 utgör katalog till utställningen (Moderna Museets kat. nr 132), och Nr 8 består av bidrag av besökare på utställningen, som framställdes på den tryckutrustning som fanns till hands där.

The Swiss-born artist Charles Clément was a co-founder and illustrator of the satirical and pacifist journal l'Arbalète published in Lausanne. In 1927 he left Switzerland to settle in Paris.
