Harry Govier Seeley was a British paleontologist who determined that dinosaurs fell into two great groups, the Saurischians and the Ornithischians, based on the nature of their pelvic bones and joints. He published his results from 1888 and onwards.

(4), 156, (1) pp. First edition of the highly important work that consists of Heidegger's lecture of 1935 as well as later contributions concerning the question of "Sein" ("Being"), which gave this term a more radical meaning than it had in "Sein und Zeit".This, Heidegger's "renewal" of Metaphysics, presents the philosophy of the 20th century with one of its greatest challenges.The centre of Heidegger's reflections in this work is the "Entmachtung des Geistes" ("The Disablement of Spirit"). Spirit is reduced to an instrumental reason, which Heidegger calls "Intelligens".

Pp. 271-312. 3 leaves with minor brownspots to upper margin, otherwise fine and clean. First appearance of an importent paper by the "Father of Geophysics". "Darwin's paper "On the Influence..." (the paper offered), ...marked the beginning of his investigations of essentially geophysical problems.This work was directly inspired by Lord kelvin, whose great interest in the young Darwin may be said to have been the chief influence in his decision to make science his career"Darwin's most significant contribution to the history of science lies in his pioneering work in the application of detailled dynamical analysis to cosmological and geological problems.
