Contemporary full calf binding with richly blindtooled spine. Gilt contemporary coat-of-arms on both boards. Bookplate on front endpaper. Upper spine-end partly broken. Wormholes in back board. * One of several Jesuit contributions to fortification theory following the Turkish siege of Vienna i 1683.

1 typewritten letter in English, dated December 22, 1977. A4 size with Tintin letter head from Studio Hergé. Signed in hand 'Hergé'. Folded twice. * Very charming personal letter from Hergé to Jørgen Sonnergaard, who translated Tintin's adventures to Danish. Sonnergaard had sent Hergé a Comic Section from the New York American as a birthday gift, and the delighted Hergé promised to have it framed for his wall. The reason for Hergé writing in English was that Sonnergaard actually didn't understand French that well, even though he had translated Tintin!

Two parts in one volume. Revue et augmentee en cette seconde edition, de plusieurs figures, de tresbeaux Bastimens et Edifices de Ljunention. Claude Jombert et al, Paris no date [1681]. Folio (leaves are 29 x 44 cm). Engraved titleleaf + 75 full page engraved plates (printed on both recto and verso) + (1 blank) + engraved titleleaf + 32 plates, hereof 22 foldable. Bound in a nice, moderne pastiche full speckled calf binding with six raised bands to the spine and blindtooled borders to the boards. Printed on good thick paper, but dampstained throughout the book. A couple of leaves with minor tears at the edges, well outside the prints due to the broad margins. * Main work of the French architect Le Muet [1591-1669], whose many town houses and chateaux are still to be seen in France today. The work was originally published in 1623 (with a reprint in 1647), but this edition is the final and enlarged. The text pages are also made in copper plate engraving.

Bound in a contemporary full calf binding with blindtooled borders to the boards. Two small wormholes to the spine. A bit of rubbing and edgewear. A bit of dampstaining to the margin of Les Deux Freres Rivaux to the first pages. Mordern name in ink to the inner board. Small piece of the back pastedown missing. * Four extremely scarce early Scarron editions.

Jacob Mevius. 1710. Contemporary full leather. (17)+454+121(5 Anhänge)+Register. Frontispiece. 27x21cm. Age-related wear to boards. Small red ink stain to front board and back board (1cm). Some wear to edges. Spine with creases - decorations to spine somewhat faded. Bumped corners. Outer rear hinge starting to crack but still quite solid. Inner hinges lightly cracked. Titlepage in red and black. Some brownspotting to select pages. Note in margin to page 449. Binding good and solid considering age.

Lecram Press, Paris. [1929]. Orig. red wrappers with black title and unicursal hexagram to front cover. 133pp. (pp. 303-436). Worn. Cover loose and split in two along spine. Most of cover's spine is gone. Loose front- and rear cover with rubbing and light wear to edges. Small chips to edges of front- and rear cover. Few light stains to covers. 'Gave fra Forf.', i.e. 'gift from the author' written in pencil to top of title page. Presumably given by Crowley to previous owner, Grunddal Sjallung, whose name is written in pencil to bottom of title page, and who met Crowley in the late 1930's. Grunddal Sjallung was a Danish freemason and leader of the Danish chapter of O.T.O from 1936 after the death of Carl William Hansen. Tear to top of title page near spine. First leaf somewhat loose at top and bottom and held together by the threads. Light pencil markings in margins to seven pages. Fore- and bottom edge untrimmed. Notice: Only the fourth section of 'Magick in Theory and Practice'. First edition, true first issue.

Decorative vignettes and ca 435 drawings and plans in the text. Uniformly bound in contemporary half maroon calf. Fourth series of the important and influential architectural magazine founded and edited by César Daly. Cf. Ann Lorenz Van Zanten (1981), 'César Daly and the Revue Générale de l'Architecture'.

A complete set of this illustrated, well-researched historial survey of ukiyoe colour woodblock printing and painting. Engraved portrait of Voltaire, engraved frontispiece with allegorical portrait of Newton, (2),399,(1) pp + 6 engraved plates + engraved folding table. Numerous engraved head- and tailpieces, vignettes and diagrams. Contemporary calf, faded red label on spine. Red coloured edges. Rubbing to boards. Portrait and frontispiece smaller, probably completed from another copy. Internally with wide margins, just a few small stains. 20,5 x 13 cm. First edition, with the imprint of Amsterdam publisher Ledet, to whom Voltaire had sent the manuscript when he was exiled in the Netherlands. The work is dedicated to Madame la Marquise du Châtelet and was intended to explain Newton's Principa to women.

Slightly brownspotted at outer margins of the text. One plate with a crease at lower margin. 19,5 x 12,5 cm. The english edition was published in London in 1758 "A Method of Producing Double Flowers from Single, by a Regular Course of Culture".

Stockholm 1920. 32x23 cm. 166, (2) (noter), (2) s. + 9 planscher med monterade fotogravyrer med skyddspapper + 1 originaletsning av Carl Larsson, signerad av Karin Larsson. Med 39 monterade planscher med skyddspapper (huvudsakligen fotogravyrer av Goodwin). Praktfullt samtida skinnband med ryggförgyllning, pärmdekorationer i guld, svart och rött, övre guldsnitt, inre denteller, i skinnskodd och fodrad kassett. Tyvärr saknas Carl Larsson-etsningen i detta exemplar. Ryggen aningen nött, kassetten defekt nedtill, tillskrift på en av de första blanka bladen. Huvudsakligen ett mycket fint exemplar. Tryckt i 200 numrerade exemplar, detta är nr. 147.

Leiden, Brill 1954-2005. New edition. Contains 400 plates and other illustrations. The first 11 volumes in fascicules (no. 1-188) with printed wrappers, loose in publisher's cloth covers (for binding), the rest with printed wrappers. An almost complete set of the monumental encyclopaedia of almost all aspects of the world of islam.

s'Gravenhage, Barent Beeck 1691 Engraved title, (8), 136 pp. + 62 engraved plates (of which 4 are folding). Contemporary vellum, covers warped, losening a little from back cover, pages from 112 to end and last 14 plates stained, some heavy. William III (1650-1702), was sovereign Prince of Orange from birth, Stadtholder of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Gelderland, and Overijssel in the Dutch Republic from 1672, and King of England, Ireland, and Scotland from 1689. This book is about the fantastic ceremonies organized on the occasion of William's arrival to the Hague in 1691. A rare work.

Modern calf, old covers laid down. Partly with water stain and some other staining, first four leaves repaired in upper margin, still mostly good.

Paris, S. de Bonadona [ca. 1930] 25x32,5 cm. Title, introduction/ table des planches + 48 plates (of which 27 are pochoir in colour). Loose as issued in publisher's cloth-back covers with ties. Spine worn, joints damaged, introduction leaf with smal tear, otherwise very good. A charming work showing the exteriors and interiors of different shops of that time. Plate 32 is erroneously numbered 47 which is confirmed by an small printed errata note.

Strasbourg 1865. 23-page description of Alsace followed by 16 illustrative coloured albumen prints of Alsacian types, mounted on a separate board bearing letterpress title and attribution. Print size 10,5x8,5 cm. Boards and text 29x22,5 cm. Loose in a decorated cloth binding. Binding somewhat worn. Prints in a fine condition, some boards slightly worn at edges. Prints numbered: 1-3, 7-8, 10, 12-13, 16-17, 50-52, 54-55, 58. Colas 1744, only mention 12 plates.

Boken är tryckt i en numrerad upplaga om 300 exemplar varav detta ex är nummer 333. Denna bok är given till den svenske författaren Bernt Erikson. Pedersen har finurligt numrerat boken utanför upplagan när han skriver nummer 333. Under kolofonen har Pedesen tecknat en dedikation.
