Title leaf with near contemporary (dated 1718), owner's signature in the lower margin, interior else with some creasing at corner's and margins, a couple of tiny spots and some very occasional foxing. Second edition of a study on hemostatics first published in Brieg 1677.

Medbundet i detta ex 32 sidor för anteckningar, varav ett blad tagits i bruk. Överstruken namnteckning i bläck på titelbladet. Förord undertecknat av regementschefen, överste P G Sparre. Denne deltog bl a i striderna i Finland 1808-09. Han övergick till Sjöartillerikåren 1824. Förbandet fick 1845 beteckningen Marin-Regementet och ingick i Karlskronas garnison. Sparre avgick 1856. P G Sparre (1790-1871) skrev flera historiska äventyrsromaner och var relativt framgångsrik som författare.

Stockholm, Charles Deleen, 1817 35, (1 blank) pp. Skuren och häftad i fint marmorerat pappersomslag. Obetydligt lagerfläckad, liten fläck på innermarginalen på s. 5. Obetydligt naggat omslag. Fint exemplar. Norges konstitution antogs 17 maj 1814, men efter ett krig med Sverige under sommaren samma år nödgades Norge att ändringar i grundlagen, vilket resulterade i författningen från 4 november 1817 som här föreligger. De ändringar som här företog skärpte Norges inställning till Sverige och lade grunden för en växande nationalism gentemot grannlandet. Författningen bestod framtill unionsupplösningen.

Together with this copy come 5 original drawings by Schem with motives from the book and 45 loose extra plates, some not present in the book. No. 354 of 3300 numbered copies.

Stockholm, P. A. Norstedt & söner, 1858 8:o. 114 pp. Near contemporary slightly worn red quarter morocco, spine in gilt, marbled boards and coloured edges. Inscribed by King Oscar II to Charles Edmond Chojecki: "à Monsieur / Charles Edmond Choiecki / en souvenier de l' Auteur". Attached to title leaf is a letter written in French from Consul Carl Ludvig Dahlfelt ("Charles Louis af Dahlfelt") to Choiecki stating the books is a gift from the King to him. Edmund Chojecki (1822-1899) was a prominent Polish journalist, playwright, poet and translator. He was a friend of Adam Mickiewicz and translated Potocki's The Saragossa Manuscript. In 1856 he became secretary to Louis Napoleon and later director of the Senate Library in Paris. As a French writer under the name "Charles Edmond" he befriended Gustave Flaubert and the Goncourt brothers. During his years in France he also made connections to King Oscar II of Sweden.

Acidalius suggested in a pamphlet that women were not human. Gedik, a Lutheran scholar published A Defence of Women, first published in the late 16'th century and after that reprinted many times. The above edition contain both pamphlets.
