Helsinki 1901-1953. Half cloth.

Stockholm, Johan Georg Eberdt 1676. Folio. (8), 72, (14) s. + (14), 36, (8) s. Lite senare halvfranskt band, rik ryggförgyllning, röda snitt. Yttre falsen nedtill lite svag, ett par blad med marginalförstärkning, titelbladen något fläckade men huvudsakligen ett rent och fint exemplar.

The Letter Edge 1968. 13 art objects of different size and format. Loose as issued in original portfolio. First publication from The Letter Edge, published in a total of 6 issued, conceived by William Copley and Dimitri Petroc and containg a collection of artist's art pieces. Our collection include 11 different objets from issues 2-6 and they are laid into the portfolio of no. 1.

Lipsiae, Haeredes 1696. 4:o. (2), 605 pp. + 8 (of 9, plate 7 missing) engraved plates. Contemporary vellum. First leaves with marginal light waterstain, otherwise very good. With contributions by, among others: Leibniz, Johann and Jacob Bernouilli and Giovanni Domenico Cassini.

Paris, Gaume frères et J. Duprey, 1872 VII, (1), 267, (1), 12, 16 pp. Later, half-leather binding with marbled boards, sparsely gilt spine and four raised bands. Upper edge cut, other edges rough-trimmed, original printed wrappers preserved. Spine and the preserved wrappers somewhat soiled, front wrapper with some tiny chips along the edges. Interior with some faint, occasional foxing, endpaper with small dampstain at upper edge, page 136 with one ca 2,5 cm tear at the fore-edge. A presentable copy of a very scarce title.

Galerie Danthon 1929. (8) pp. + 3 mounted plates (of which one is in colour). Original printed wrappers, plates loose (as issued?). Spine a bit worn but overall very good. Henry Valensi (1883-1960), visionary artist. He was an active member of the Puteaux Group, exhibited alongside Marcel Duchamp, Fernand Léger and the Cubists Albert Gleizes and Jean Metzinger in the famous “Section d’Or” (Golden Section) exhibition in 1912. Later he became one of the creators of the Musicalist movement. Loosely added to this copy is an invitation card to the exhibition.

London, George Redway, 1899 XVI, 256 pp. + 1 portrait and 69 plates with facsimiles of original drawings. Publisher's green cloth with gilt lettering to spine and front board, top edge gilt, other edges rough-trimmed. Spine somewhat faded, spine ends and corners bumped, hinges weak. Condition VG-. With loosely inserted letter of gratitude (dated Sept. 5/98) from the author to Mr. [Thomas] Wilson, who seems to have informed the author about details concerning the drawings for "Our Mutual Friend". Also attached are four etchings by F.W. Pailthorpe, most probably with motives inspired by "Great Expectations". According to Appendix II of Kitton's bibliography there were originally twenty-one etchings, which were printed by Robson & Kerslake in an edition of fifty set, a few of which were hand coloured by the artists. Of the four etchings loosely inserted here there are two copies each of two different motives, one of each copy is hand coloured and the other copy is uncoloured.

Upsaliae, Werner [1728-1729] (8), 75-122: (4), 123-154; (2), 155-186, (2) s. + 2 utvikbara graverade planscher (en av planscher mycket lång och visar konungens värja). I ett senare halvskinnband. Ett blad med marginallagning, ett blad med reva i marginalen, den stora planscher med liten reva, enstaka fläckar i texten men huvudsakligen ett bra exemplar. Försättsblad med två senare exlibris. Författaren visar i denna avhandling hur fel de har som hävdar att kungens värja kommit på avvägar efter slaget vid Lützen.

Schwerin, Druck und Verlag der Hofbuchdruckerei von Dr. F.W. Bärensprung, [1858]. IV, 199, (1) pp. + 1 map and 1 fold-out table. Contemporary half cloth binding with marbled boards, sprinkled edges and sparsely gilt spine. Owner's book-plate on paste-down endpaper. Spine just slightly slanted, spine ends and corners just slightly bumped, boards slightly rubbed. Interior with some occasional foxing, page 63-64 slightly chipped at upper corner, no loss of text. A well-kept copy.

Paris, Magimel 1813 Second edition. 12 pp. + 166 engraved plates (pl. 19 on 3 leaves, plate 25, 26 & 27 on 1 leaf, many folding). Contemporary calf, spine gilt, some wear, plates in good and clean condition. Plate volume only.

Wexjö, Anders Wrigseen [1768] (16), 168 s. + 1 plansch i träsnitt. Samtida halvfranskt band, lite nött rygg, pärmen med några smärre skador, inlagan stundtals fläckig, några sidor i början med lite kraftigare fläckar, främre inre fals lite svag. Huvudsakligen ändå ett bra exemplar.

Stockholm 1942. Första upplagan. 88 s. Häftad. Främre omslag med svag fläck upptill, annars fint skick. Tryckt i 150 numrerade exemplar, detta är nr. 125.

Leo and Wolfe Photography 2000 38x33,5 cm. 147, (5) pp. Richly illustrated with full-page photographic plates. Publisher's cloth, illustration mounted on upper cover. Trace of book-plate on upper corner of inside of upper cover, otherwise a very good copy. With short texts by Robert Olen Butler, Morri Creech and John Wood.(21st: The Journal of Contemporary Photography, volume III.) Published in a trade edition of 750 numbered copies, this is no. 441. This copy is signed by Dugdale on half title.

Coloniae, Schrey & Meyerum 1686. Editio nova. Folio. (30), 539, (1), 56, (58), (1) (blank), 197, (3) pp. Title-page with engraved device. Contemporary vellum, title label on spine partly damaged, light waterstain at upper margin almost throughout. With the bokk-plate of A.D. Wackerbarth. A very good copy. Justin was born around year 100. One of the earliest apologists for the christian faith. He produced a number of works, defending and explaining Christianity as the true philosophy.

[Stockholmiae, Andream Gutterwitz] 1596. (128) (sista bladet blankt) blad. Senare halvskinnband där en skrift har tagits ut i början, främre inre fals är alltså loss. De sista två bladen med marginallagningar, sista blanka bladet saknas i detta ex. Enstaka fläckar i texten. Sista sidan i detta ex har inte kolofonen med tryckarens namn och årtal som förekommer i en del exemplar.. Med exlibris från Säfstaholms bibliotek. På uppdrag av Sigismund infann sig i Sverige år 1596 en polsk beskickning bestående av förnäma adelsmän. De framförde protester mot besluten på Söderköpings riksdag och riktade en rad skarpa beskyllningar mot hertig Karl och förmanade honom att iakttaga konungens rätt och myndighetsutövning. Hertig Karls svar blev också hårt i tonen. Han framhöll bl.a. Sveriges lagbundna statsskick gentemot Sigismunds absolutistiska tendenser. Detta tryck innehåller 5 olika skrifter med bl.a. båda sidors inlagor (se Collijn). Latinsk och svensk parallelltext.

Amsterdam, North Holland & New York, American Elsevier 1973 First edition. XI, (1), 202 pp. Publisher's cloth, a few small chips to dust-jacket, small signature inside upper cover, otherwise fine. (Studies in Logic and the Foundations of Mathematics.)

Journal 1994. Second printing. 28x29,5 cm. 34 pp. + 81 photo plates. Publisher's luminescent silver sparkle boards with letters stamped in red and green. A very good copy.

Kunsthalle Düsseldorf / Marlborough Rome 1975. 24,5x21 cm. 58 pp. Illustrated. + 35x27,5 cm. 23 plates. + 7 folded plates (in different sizes). First work in softcover, plates in softcover, loose plates in an unprinted black folder, all in printed black oversize envelope. The envelope is worn and slightly damaged, otherwise in very good condition.

Edinburgh, R. Neill & Co. 1801-1803. (2), 8; 17, (1); 57 (1); 51, (1); 24 pp. Contemporary polished full calf, five raised bands, lavishly giult decorated spine with compartments, boards with double filet borders and blocked centre-pieces in blind, all edges sprinkled, marbled end-papers. First title-page with old signature, joints slightly worn, a few leaves slightly foxed but overall a very good and attractive copy. Bilingual text in Latin and English except for Polemo-Middinia inter vitaruam et nebernam. (8 pp.) Contents with bilingual text: Chryste-Kirk on the Green/ Certamen inter ajacem et ulyssem/ The Monk and the Miller's Wife: a Tale/ The wife of Auchtermuchty: an ancient Scottish poem.

London, printed for T. Payne 1802. First edition. VIII, 122, (2) pp. Contemporary full calf, worn, joints weak and partly cracked. Waterstain throughout, some foxing and staining inside, minor marginal worming. Anne Hunter (1742-1821), salonnière and poet. Wrote lyrics to nine of Haydn's 14 songs in English and published this collection of poems in 1802 with a second edition 1803, both very scarce.

London, Bradbury and Evans, 1848 First edition. XVI, 624 pp. + 1 frontispiece, 1 illustrated title leaf and 38 plates. Illustrated with woodcuts in the text. Near contemporary (ca 1870s?) half calf with gilt upper edge and sparsely gilt spine with red, morocco spine label and five raised bands. Spine ends and joints with some light rubbing, corners slightly bumped. The plates with varying degrees of foxing, the following pages generally with some subsequent offsetting and foxing, verso of the last plate with handwritten annotation in ink. Somewhat later printing of the first edition with the typo ('Mr Pitt' instead of 'Sir Pitt') on page 453 left uncorrected, but with the woodcut on page 336 of the first printing omitted. A rather attractive copy of an early printing of the first edition of this classic novel.

Stockholm, Moderna Museet 1972. 30,5 x 21,5 cm. 363 pp. + 1 original meta-matic painting, signed by Tinguely + 1 grammophone-record. With 34 pp. on transparent paper, 13 pp. in colour, 6 folding pp. Publisher's illustrated cloth, designed as a brief-case with handle and lock in metal. Unfortunetely the record is missing from this copy, otherwise a very good copy. This is the Swedish edition of a remarkable catalogue which was also published in French, German and English. Text in Swedish. Added to this copy is an openeing card and a printed leaflet presenting the book.

Roma, Editalia 1973 41x32 cm. 242 pp. Richly illustrated. Publisher's leather binding with gilt spine, raised bands, decorated front panel in full bronze (depicting Antonio Pollaiuolo's famous rendering of Romulus and Remus), back panel with five bronze knobs. Printed on thick, hand made paper. In cloth covered slip-case. Edition Bronze in 1946 hand numbered copies.

Caen, Jean Poisson 1771. VIII, 236, (8) pp. + 2 engraved plates. Contemporary half calf, rebacked, new and-papers, covers a bit worn, hinges slightly weak but overall very good.

Amsterdam, Robyn, J 1678. 4:o. 16, (2), 17-22 pp. + 2 engraved plates (1 folding). Half cloth from about 1900, marbled boards and simplistic title label pasted to the front board. Front hinge weak, title-leaf has large paper losses, with text losses, and also some staining. The folding plate is repaired.
