À Cologne, chez Pierre Marteau, 1725 (8), 439 (1) pp. + 2 engraved plates. Contemporary marbled boards. Owner's signature on paste-down endpaper. Spine and boards heavily rubbed, head of spine partly cracked. Interior with some faint, occasional dampstaining in the lower margin. Early (first?) edition of this anonymously published libertine novel sometimes ascribed to Antonio Gavin. Last page faultily paginated as page 446. Scarce. With two copies of the same engraved title-leaf, one at the beginning of the first part of the book, one at the beginning of the second part.

Lutetiae Parisiorum, apud Ludovicum Billaine, 1661 (17), 2-178, (178), 179-460 (18) pp. Later half calf (ca 1900) binding with marbled boards, yellow tinted edges and gilt spine. Front board with Swedish book collector Hjalmar Lundgren's gilt monogram, paste-down endpaper with Lundgren's book-plate. Spine and joints slightly rubbed, lower corners slightly bumped, title-leaf and adjacent leaf with small ink spot, interior else fine. With parallell text in Latin and French. With Count Carl Gustaf Tessin's signature on the title-leaf. Carl Gustaf Tessin (1695-1770), son of architect Nicodemus Tessin the Younger and Hedvig Eleonora Stenbock, was a Swedish diplomat and politician. Apart from being one of the most prominent figures in Swedish political and cultural life of his time, he was also an avid art and book collector whose art collection laid the foundation of the collections of Nationalmuseum.

Beautiful green morocco, gilt spine, gilt egdes and borders, ruled throughout, bound by Thouvenin. Worn corners, small scratchings and some minor soilings to rear board. Minor later annotations on the fly leaf, which has a small tear to inner margin. With two small pasted listings from auction catalogues. Page numbers vaguely written by hand until p. 150. From the library of Thore Virgin with his name on fly leaf. A very nice copy of the rare edition.

Whittaker & Co., London, 1834-1837. First edition. (2), 194; VIII, 231, (1) pp. + a total of 10 lithographed plates, of which 2 are fold-out plates. With illustrations in the text. Somewhat later (late 19th century) half-calf with marbled egdes and lavishly gilt spine with five raised bands. Front joint and edges of boards quite heavily rubbed, corners slightly bumped. Endpapers and plates quite heavily foxed, interior else fine. Two works related to the use and development of microscopes bound together in one volume. The first work is by Pritchard, the second work by Goring but edited by Pritchard. Both works in first editions.

Calmar, tryckt i Carl Fredric Bergs Boktryckeri, 1818 19 x 16,5 cm. 79, (1) s. Illustrerad med 38 träsnitt i texten. Häftad i samtida, marmorerade pappomslag med senare ryggremsa. Omslagen nötta, bakre omslaget med nagg i övre hörnet, främre falsen med revor om ca 4 respektive 6 cm intill rygghuvud och -fot. Inlagan genomgående tämligen kraftigt lagerfläckad, övre marginalen med liten genomgående fläck. Sidan 15 med liten nagg i nedre hörnet, sidan 47 med reva om ca 2,5 cm i marginalen, sidorna 59-62 lite hårt skurna i nedre marginalen. Niels Prahls danska original utkom första gången 1767, ett flertal svenska upplagor utkom mellan åren 1777 och 1822. Ovanlig.

Stockholm 1930-1931. Folio. (2), 158; 180 s. + 123 planscher med 200 fotografier av C.G. Rosenberg. 164 skisser, planer m.m. i texten, flera helsides och utvikbara. Förlagets pappband, ryggarna lite nötta, främre pärm till första volymen lite fläckad, annars gott skick. Tryckt i en numrerad upplaga om 475 exemplar, detta är nr. 102.

København 1966-1976. Fotografisk optryk. 27x19 cm. 11 volymer i förlagets klotband, en rygg lite bucklig men huvudsakligen en bra uppsättning. Utkom ursprungligen 1853-1854. Del 12 utgörs av register: nøgler, navne, kilder.

Augustae Vindelicorum / Argentorati, 1769, 1754. (20), LXXXVIII, 256; (2), 342; (12), 140, (4) s. Contemporary full calf with sprinkled edges, sparsely gilt spine label and spine, the spine with five raised bands. Spine and boards slightly rubbed, paste down endpaper with neat, contemporary inscription. Interior with one sheet loose, page 7 of the first part of Opera oratoria with paper loss at lower corner, part 2 with professionally repaired tear on page 117, interior else with a couple of tiny spots and creases, else fine. Johannn Daniel Schöpflin (1694-1771), was a professor of history, rhetoric and law at the university of Strasbourg. Schöpflin was also a teacher of Goethe during the years of 1770 and 1771. All in all a well-kept volume with both parts of Schöpflin's Opera oratoria bound together with his study of celtic languages, Vindiciae celticae.

Verlag M. DuMont Schuberg 1970. First edition. 29 x 27 cm. XXIX, (1), 504 pp. + 203 plates in black and white and in color. Publisher's gilt-stamped blue cloth with dust jacket. Jacket with a couple of small tears, creases and soiling on spine. Neat pencil annotation on endpaper. A very good copy, in slip-case. Catalogue raisonne of Kandinsky's graphic works. Text in German. Heavy book - extra postage outside Sweden.

Leipzig, Karl Baedeker 1883. First edition. LII, 442 pp. + 20 maps and plans (some folding). Publisher's cloth, minor wear, front hinge slightly weak, tear to one map, still overall a very good copy.

London, printed for W. Bristow 1763 (2), IV, II, IV, 83 pp. + engraved frontispiece portrait. Later half cloth, recto of portrait with old ownership stamp. A very good copy. Nash (1674-1761), master of ceremonies in Bath, famous dandy who played a leading role in making Bath a fashionable resort in 18th-century England.

N.p. n.d. [19222?] 15x12,5 cm. 21 pp. With 11 engravings by Glas, coloured by hand, the text is also engraved. Original limp vellum, original drawing on upper cover, monogram signed. A few tiny spots to cover, otherwise a very good copy. Last page says "Probedrück", written by hand in pencil.

Stockholm & Göteborg 1874-1942. Varje volym innehåller ca. 600 s. + flera planscher och kartor. Illustrationer i texten. Bundna i 13 samtida halvfranska band. Genomgående gott skick. Bidrag till kännedom. . . var föregångaren till Göteborgs och Bohusläns Fornminnesförenings tidskrift som fick detta namn från 1914. Utgavs häftesvis men med bandnumrering där varje band täcker flera år. Vol. 1 innehåller bihanget: Ordbok öfver allmogemålet i Sörbygden, av Nils Fr. Nilén.

Bremen, P.G. Saurmann 1725. Third, enlarged edition. (20), 1108, (22) s. Contemporary vellum on wooden boards. A few old signatures, hinges very slightly weak, slightly foxed. First edition was published in 1716.

Westerås, Joh. Laur. Horrn 1773. Graverat titelblad, (24), 323, (5) s. + 4 utvikbara graverade planscher. Samtida halvfranskt band med ryggförgyllning, röda snitt. Första bladen med små maskhål, mest marginella. Försättsblad med två äldre namnteckningar, eftersättblad med ett flertal anteckningar, bl.a en sida om orgeln i S:t Petri kyrka i Malmö. Huvudsakligen en ren och snygg inlaga. Hülphers faktaspäckade historik har enligt Tobias Norlind berättigat honom att bli kallad den svenska musikforskningens fader.

Götheborg, Charles Backman 1834 & 1835. (12), IV, 492 s. + 6 litograferade planscher. Samtida halvfranskt band, något nött. Inlagan delvis lite lagerfläckad, några blad och en plansch kraftigare. En plansch lite svag i inre marginalen, en plansch med rivet hörn. Huvudsakligen ett bra exemplar. Sällsynt.

Two major problems: last leaf of index in vol. 4 is missing, leaves 1047-1104 are torn out and unfortunately missing from vol. 8.

Paris, Marcel Plée 1927-1934. Richly illustrated. 30 volumes with original printed wrappers. 7 volumes with damaged covers, of which 4 volumes have split spines, otherwise very good. First volume is numbered 104 of 175 copies on "simili Japon".

Steidl 2008. Limited edition. 29,5x29,5 cm. (37) pp. + 285 plate-pages. Publisher's hand-bound cloth, upper cover with a tipped in pigment print of Saltsjö-Boo 1977. Spine slightly faded, otherwise fine. This copy is numbered 4/50 and signed by the photographer.
