Printed at Ivar Jantzen and Pacht & Crone Efterfølgere under supervision by Kr. Kongstad, Copenhagen 1919. Oblong folio. With 53 photolithographed plates with tissue-guards and two maps. Bound uncut in a beautiful binding of half calf med oak leaves in gilt to spine (renowned Danish bookbinder Anker Kyster). In slipcase. Light edgewear and scuffing to spine. Karl Madsen, Johannes V. Jensen og Ludv. Holstein. **Printed in 160 numbered copies. ***An important work on the park Dyrehaven, the old royal par force hunting ground north of Copenhagen. Texts by Johannes V. Jensen and several other wellknown writers of the time. First and foremost though are the photographs. Using his masterly technical skills Werner have created stunning and moody images, challenging himself to work in both flickering sunlight, overcast grayness and in snow. Selected as one of the most important Danish photobooks by Ingrid Fischer Jonge in her '28 danske fotobøger', 2006).
