Ten original woodcuts by Kandinsky in the text. Full light brown leather binding. Foxing to half-title leaf and very light foxing to last leaf. Third edition (published the same year as the first and second) of Kandinsky's famous discussion of the spiritual foundations of art and the nature of artistic creation.

Dedikation från författaren till Edward Hald "med tack för mångårigt samarbete och lika lång vänskap", samt inskription av Edward Hald "F.v.b. till docenten Elisa Steenberg från hennes fader. Dec. 1958". Sällsynt. En förteckning med historiska upplysningar om ca 150 svenska glasbruk, med källangivelser. Edvard Strömberg var disponent vid Eda glasbruk, där hans hustru Gerda hade börjat sin bana som formgivare. När driften vid Eda lades ned 1933 övertog och återstartade han det nedlagda Lindesfors glasbruk vars namn ändrades till Strömbergshyttan.

Printed wrappers, an excellent copy. Rare publication presenting Eliel Saarinen's utopian Kalavala House project. This imposing edifice, designed by Saarinen between 1919 and 1921 but never realised, was meant to be a monument to Finnish culture, containing a "Finnish Pantheon" crowned by a tower eighty metres tall, artists' studios, a concert hall, a research institute, and even a mausoleum.

No. 80 of an edition limited to 125 copies. Very scarce. A history and Catalogue of the Swedish Queen Regnant Christina's remarkable collection of (mostly Italian) paintings which came into Swedish possession during the Battle of Prague and the Peace of Westphalia negotiations. The volume includes Granberg's history of the collection through the centuries and his heavily annotated Catalogue Raisonné of the paintings, as well as early inventories of the paintings in German, French and Italian: the Prague inventory at Skokloster Palace ('Wass sich in denen Pildergangen, Sählen und Gallarien von Gemehlen sind befundten und bestandten, 1648); Marquis de Fresnes 'Inventaire des Raritéz qui sont dans le Cabinet des Antiquitez de la Sérénissime Reine de Suède' (1652): the inventory in the Archivio Palatini in Rome: 'Catalogo dei quadri della Regina di Svezia' (probably 1689); and the 'Inventario de' quadri dell Galleria Memorabile della Regina di Suecia' made 1721 in connection with the sale to the Duke of Orléans.

Prästdottern Nell (Nelly) Roslund från Landskrona gifte sig med Herwart Walden 1912 och blev en drivande kraft i den avantgardistiska Der Sturm-rörelsen. Vid sidan av sitt konstnärsskap publicerade hon dikter under pseudonymen Maria Enid i tidskriften Der Sturm. Hon fortsatte sitt författarskap efter att hon 1924 gift om sig med läkaren Hans Heimann (som skulle komma att dö i ett förintelseläger 1937).

"Fourth edition, greatly improved" of this collection of designs for villas mainly in Old English and Classical styles, at least five of which were executed including "a residence in the Anglo-Norman style" - probably Sir James Macdonald's villa built near Liphock, Hants.
