Nearly 200 plans, drawings, photos, etc. Fine half cloth binding, pictorial wrappers (designated 11e édition) bound in, one weak stain in margin of front wrapper. (Collection de L'Esprit Nouveau). A collection of articles on town building by Le Corbusier first published in 1925 with a number of fictitious edition designations. Partly drawn from the magazine 'L'Esprit Nouveau' published by Le Corbusier and Amedée Ozenfant, the book includes a presentation of the 'Ville Contemporain' project for a modern city which is illustrated on the large folding plate.

London (1905 ). 40x27. XII+(52); + VIII+(36) pp. + 237 plates with 294 photos. Publisher's decorated, gilt-lettered cloth, top edges gilt. These volumes are a mine of lovely things. Indeed, it would be difficult to better the photographs, and the letterpress is interesting and readable. Those who have spent pleasant hours in the gardens of Tivoli or Frascati will enjoy recalling by means of this work the time passed in those places of ordered beauty. Typographical layout and cover design by El Lissitzky Publisher's printed red cloth, covers lightly sullied and stained. Spine faded, partly cracking, and worn at top and bottom. Former owner's name or stamp scratched from endpapers and first/last page. Interior clean and unblemished. (Neues Bauen in der Welt, 1). The first volume in the uniformly designed set of three illustrated books on modern architecture published by Schroll in 1930 ('Russland' by Lissitzky, 'Amerika' by Neutra, and 'Frankreich' by Roger Ginsburger). An influential publication on new architecture in the Soviet Union with examples from the work of Lissitzky, Tatlin, the Vesnin Brothers, Barchin, Malevich, Ginzburg, Kochar, Bunin, Velikovsky, and others.

First portfolio slightly worn and darkened, spine neatly repaired. Second portfolio lightly stained and neatly supplied with a new cloth spine and new interior flaps. The contents of both in fine condition. A comprehensive collection of elaborate measured drawings of façades, portals, doors, windows, and other decorative elements of German buildings from 16th-century Renaissance to 18th-century Rococo. Vol. 1: Frü- und Hochrenaissance 1500-1650. Vol 2: Barock und Rococo 1650-1800.

Berlin 1893. 33x25. VI+96 pp. + 83 heliogravure plates + 5 portraits + large folding coloured plan. Publisher's pictorial, gilt-lettered cloth, all edges gilt. Binding slightly darkened and extremities rubbed, some light thumbing in lower right corner of the first leaves. A history and description of the garden waterworks of Frederick the Great's Sans-Souci and the adjacent Potsdam palaces, written by the engineer in charge of the waterworks, with photographic plates providing a record of the fountains and basins as they appeared in the early 1890s.

Uniformly bound untrimmed in publisher's red cloth with printed spine labels. A very good, well-preserved set, spines slightly faded with darkened labels, edges slightly dusty; contents fine. Former owner's bookplate on front endpapers. A complete set of the classic eight-volume plus supplement catalogue compiled by the British art dealer who developed the concept of the Catalogue Raisonné. According to the impressums the books were published by Smith & Son 1829-42 and printed by James Skinner & Co. in Edinburgh. The first two volumes, however, contain an additional printed notice to the effect that they were reprinted in 1908 for Sands and Company, London and Edinburgh, in an edition limited to 1250 copies.

Tryckt på fint papper i en upplaga begränsad till 125 numrerade exemplar av vilka detta är nr 25. Sällsynt, attraktivt framställd historik och beskrivning av 1200-talskatedralen i Västerås, författad av den arkitekt som ansvarade för en genomgripande restaurering av katedralen i slutet av 1800-talet.

Comprises more than 450 photographs of chairs, all with detailed measurements, and details of chairs, some measured.
