(Milano ca 1959-61). 31x31. 2;+3 text leaves + altogether 143 wallpaper samples (including ca 60 in full album size 30x30 cms) + 35 plates with photos of rooms with Braendli wallpaper and women models or modern furniture and decorative art + three plates with photos of wallpaper patterns + one plate with 29 wallpaper colour samples seen through die-cut circular holes. Publisher's printed, uniformly designed cloth bindings with spine titles BRÆNDLI and BRÆNDLI 2 respectively. Minor marginal defects to a few samples, otherwise fine. Very scarce. An attractive set of extraordinarily stylish trade catalogues of wallpaper manufactured by the the Braendli company in Milan. According to an introduction in the first volume, the patterns were designed by the architect R. Braendli, and the surrounding furnishings were provided by Tilche, Fornasetti, and Ostuni, of Arform, Knoll, and Frangi respectively. The first volume also includes a brief trilingual introduction in French, English and German.

New York, Horizon Press, 1963. 64x42. 32 pp. booklet with introduction and notes on the plates by Frank Lloyd Wright + 100 plates with elevations, perspectives and plans; kept in covers with printed guide to terms used on the plates. Loose as issued in the original printed half cloth portfolio with tie-strings. A very good copy with minor stains to exterior covers and to lower margin of the inner cover with guide to terms; the plates are in excellent condition. The monumental corpus of plates 'Ausgeführte Bauten und Entwürfe' was published in Germany 1910-11; an American edition was prepared but was consumed in the fire destroying the first Taliesin in 1912. Only one complete copy survived, from which this edition was produced in accordance with the architect's wishes as he discussed the project in 1958. Foreword by William Wesley Peters.

Together with: MODERNE BACKSTEINBAUTEN. ZWEITER BAND DER AUSGEFUEHRTEN BACKSTEINBAUTEN DER GEGENWART. Berlin, Wasmuth, (1903-). 48x32. IV pp. + 40 plates (of 80). Loose as issued in altogether nine printed cloth-backed portfolios, a very fine set. Large-size photographic documentations of contemporary brick architecture, mainly in German-speaking countries but including some buildings in London. Most plates are photographs in heliogravure, ca 60 provided with one or two plans of the building; a few are elevations, plans and detail drawings, and there are two coloured perspectives. The first series contains mainly villas and residential houses in Germany - several in Berlin and its Villenkolonien - with an index of the architects. 80 plates appeared of the new series titled 'Moderne Backsteinbauten', the first 40 of which are present here, with emphasis on large school buildings, hospitals etc.

First two issues of this short-lived magazine edited by Fabricio and Ricardo Mondadori, three issues of which were published. Includes reproductions of works by Gianni Bertini, Roberto Matta, Enrico Baj, Sergio Dangelo, Achille Perilli, Toti Scialoja, Giovanni Dova, Wols, Karel Appel, Hundertwasser, E.L.T Mesens, Asger Jorn, Franz Kline, and others, and texts in Italian and French by the editors, Edoardo Sanguineti, Cesare Vivaldi, Edouard Jaguer, Jean-Jacques Lebel, Hubert Juin, Jacques Lacomblez, Enrico Baj, Hundertwasser, etc.

Paris 1930. 24x18. IV+96 pp. + 2 leaves with eight reproductions and photos (paintings by Artür Harfaux and a sculpture). Six reproductions of drawings in text (three full-page) by Josef Šíma and Maurice Henry. Uncut in the original printed wrappers with spiral drawing by Jean Arp. A well-preserved copy with the expected (evenly) browning of the poor paper. The last issue of this rare parasurrealist magazine which appeared in three issues only, 1928-1930. The Grand Jeu group was inspired by the pataphysics and aimed to explore intuitive and spontaneous knowledge through recourse to mystical texts and the use of drugs. In 1925 they discovered the Surrealists, and André Breton encouraged cooperation between the two groups although the Grand Jeu group regarded surrealist ideology as limited in their focus on the subconscious. In 1929, Monny de Boully criticised Breton for sacrificing the experimental character of Surrealism, and he left the Breton group to joint Le Grand Jeu, a defection that led Breton to instruct the trial of Le Grand Jeu on March 11, 1929.
