Very rare early Brussels printing o"De la Démocratie en Amérique," a seminal work in political science and sociology. It examines the effects of democracy on society, culture, and political institutions in the United States, comparing it with European societies. Tocqueville analyzes concepts like equality of conditions and how they influence social behaviors and moral attitudes. The 1837 Brussels edition is a very rare contemporary printing and significant because it represents an early publication of Tocqueville's work in a different context than the original Parisian editions. Well stained copy.  Forget about Novo Nordisk products, try Swiss Kriss. The 20th Century west with its strong focus on profit maximation and efficiency also saw the beginning an obsession with control of the body and weight loss - a phenomenon that is still raging. Amphetamine pills for everyone, despite strong side effects like anxiety, paranoia, irritability, and sleep disturbances, if you could stay up and perform and look model looking thin. Louis Armstrong had anxiety problems and eating a lot of food was one of the ways (along with smoking Marihuana) to calm himself down and he soon got a weight problem. He found the "Swiss Kriss" product, used it, got addicted to it and started advocating the use of this laxative to control weight. He would publish his ideas in a book called Lose Weight the Satchmo Way, and also appeared in advertisements for his favorite herbal laxative, Swiss Kriss. John Lennon and Mick Jagger were later regular user of the Swiss Kriss. In this manuscript, Satchmo describes a regimen of regular meals supplemented by orange juice and Swiss Kriss: "The more you shit / the thinner you'll git / no shit."

Pist Protta Space Poetry, 1981 to 2025. Ultra rare complete set including ALL issues from issue 1 in 1981 to the latest issue 97 published 2025. All issues are in the original bindings and with no stamps or like. Almost all issues are in very good or fine condition only a few of the earliest issued has some wear. The magazine as a museum or a folded exhibition on paper: Pist Protta made and designed by artists, and always edited by the same core of three artists: Åse Eg Jørgensen, Jesper Fabricius and Jesper Rasmussen. Pist Protta has been published since 1981, and is being the oldest still ongoing visual art periodical in Scandinavia. Every publication is different from the others as regards the design and form, because with every issue there is often experiments with size, layout. paper quality, printing method, graphic effects, punch outs, fouldouts etc. in an attempt to create every number of the periodical with an original expression – or even as a work of art on its own. The content varies from very mixed issues with a lot of different material taken from visual art, litterature, cinema, music (and very often with inserts of original prints) to more thematic issues with a more homogeneous composition. Among the theme numbers there have been such publications about experimental cinema, experimental musical scores, concrete poetry, anamorphoses, hands, the white colour, Berlin, London, New York, interior installations, typography, text and landscape painting. Questionable if anything more interesting regarding to Artists Books, Avant Garde Art, Magazine Art etc ever was published in the Northern Hemisphere?!

Udgivet af Peace Eye Spirit, 1970. Tvær 4to. Originalt omslag, klammeheftet. Omslag dekoreret med farvetuscher af Kirsten Turell og teksten håndskrevet af Dan Turell. (14) sider inklusiv omslaget. Ganske velbevaret (se fotogalleri). Originalt håndskrevet eksemplar. Changes of Light indeholder digtene: Grønt lys, Gult lys, Blåt lys, Rødt lys, Violet lys skrevet med hver sin tuschfarve. Udgivet og håndskrevet af Dan Turèll på Turèlls 24. års fødselsdag. Der blev kun skrevet mellem 10 og 20 eksemplarer ialt. Dette eksemplar har ingen kendt proviniens og ingen dato, Turell har kun skrevet årstallet '1970'. I de fleste kendte eksemplarer er datoen for DT's 24 års fødselsdag angivet. Måske er der derfor her tale om en variant af 1. udgaven, skrevet samme år - i tiden umiddelbart efter DT's fødseldag men altså stadig 1970, da der efter sigende skulle findes eksemplarer af værket dateret 1972.
