Bradbury & Evans, London 1857. XIV+626 pages + Frontispiece, vignette, titlepage and 38 plates by H. K. Browne. Bound untrimmed in a contemporary olive half calf. Small, superficial scratch to the spine. Text leaves clean, plates foxed as usual, but mainly in the margins. Some offsetting between the titleleaf and the frontispiece.

* First edition with the early reading 'Rigaud' for 'Blandois' and with signature mark B2 for 2B2 on page 371. This was the last of the large novels by Dickens published by Bradbury and Evans. Eckel 82.

Stamp with date on back [autograph obtained 31 May 2000 in Copenhagen] Framed in black passepartout [32 x 23.5 cm] with photo. * One of the greatest rock stars of all times, Elton John [b. 1947] became a star in the early 1970's with his flamboyant clothes (and especially wild, wild glasses!), super energetic scene show and great songs. Portrayed in the movie Rocketman [2019].

Kierkegaards filosofiske roman om gentagelsens mulighed er angiveligt kun trykt i 525 eksemplarer.** First edition of Kierkegaard's philosophical novel "Gjentagelsen", which was presumably only published in 525 copies. This copy is bound untrimmed in the original boards. Spine somewhat worn; thus the bookblock is slightly loose.

2 parts in 1 volume. Nyon, Paris 1759. On good paper. (4)+288+222+(6) pages. Engraved frontispiece portrait. Titlepages printed in red and black. Contemporary marbled calf with richly gilt spine, * Turenne (1611-75) was a main character in the bloody wars of the 17th century, being the greatest genius of warfare of the period and one of the best in this trade in the history of mankind. He joined the Dutch army at the age of 14, and changed sides numerous times in the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War and the period after. Of course he was killed by a cannon ball. He rests next to Napoleon in the Dôme des Invalides in Paris.
