In Commision bey Geistinger, Wien 1810. (4)+288 pages. With a copperplate engraving on the frontespiece with a small hole, repaired on the back. In the back of the book are two extendable copper plates, the one is a song in Italian with notes, the other is a family tree. Some browning throughout the book. The hinges are a bit weak. Bookplate on the pastedown (from the Danish collector Hjalmar Hartmann). Inscribed to the Danish actress Julie Rosenkilde (later Sødring) in 1843 on front flyleaf.

* Contents: "Der römische Carneval", "Ueber Italien. Fragmente eines Reisejournals", "Des Joseph Balsamo, gennant Cagliostro, Stammbaum" and "Unterhaltungen deutscher Ausgewanderten". Not in the Meyer bibliography.

2 parts in 1 volume. Nyon, Paris 1759. On good paper. (4)+288+222+(6) pages. Engraved frontispiece portrait. Titlepages printed in red and black. Contemporary marbled calf with richly gilt spine, * Turenne (1611-75) was a main character in the bloody wars of the 17th century, being the greatest genius of warfare of the period and one of the best in this trade in the history of mankind. He joined the Dutch army at the age of 14, and changed sides numerous times in the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War and the period after. Of course he was killed by a cannon ball. He rests next to Napoleon in the Dôme des Invalides in Paris.
