Smukke samtidige helbind af brunt kalveskind med rig rygforgyldning og blindpræget spejldekoration på permerne. Exlibris. Tilskrift på indersiden af forpermen i bind 1. Gl. navnetræk øverst på titelbladet i bind 1. Rift i planchen med Lichtenbergs epitafium i bind 2. * Bibl. Dan. II,768. Et 11. bind udkom i 1780. Meget smukt sæt af Hans de Hofmans værdifulde værk, der indeholder et væld af genealogisk kildemateriale og trækker på kobberstukne portrætter og vignetter fra Hofmans da afdøde bror Tycho de Hofmans smukt udstyrerede historiske og genealogiske værker. Værket, der i større biblioteker ofte supplerede det af Hans de Hofman besørgede Pontoppidans Danske Atlas, ses på grund af den lange udgivelsestid sjældent komplet.

Illustrated with 15 fine hand-coloured aquatints. Bound in three lovely full red morocco bindings, spine, boards, edges and inner boards richly gilt [Sangorski and Sutcliffe]. Bookplate. Very nice, clean copy on large and fine paper. * This anonymously published political satire on the Seven Years' War was originally published in 1760-65 in four volumes, but this illustrated three-volume edition became popular, with a new issue published already in 1822.

Sigismund Hoffmann, Ratzeburg 1695. Folio [33 x 23 cm]. 32 + 295 + (1) + 198 + 15 + 136 leaves. Illustrated with 12 copper plate engraved titleleaves to the various parts, as well as numerous wood cut prints in the text (and the first titleleaf). Bound in a contemporary full calf binding, spine neatly restored. Two clasps fully functional. A bit closely trimmed to the edges. Some edges with later paper reinforcements, sometimes cropping a slight bit of the text here and there. The first titleleaf with a larger paper restoration to the right margin. * Scarce bible edition from Ratzeburg in Lauenburg, North Germany. Hoffmann had printed a bibel in 1692 on Plattdeutsch, but this edition in Hochdeutsch became the cornerstone of later Ratzeburg bibles.

Bound untrimmed i 2 contemporary brown half-calf bindings with gilt decorations on spines. Ink stamp on front endpaper in both volumes. Back hinge on volume 1 with worm-holes. * Interesting account on England and the English, by a Frenchman, from a time where French visitors to Britain were either refugees from the Revolution in France or prisoners of war.
