Owner's signature and book-plate on paste-down endpaper. Spine and boards somewhat rubbed, spine ends chipped, corners bumped, front joint with crack measuring ca 6 cm, interior with some faint, occasional foxing.

Torino 1890 XVI, 614 pp. Illustrations in the text. Publisher's printed boards, spine worn, joints damaged but sound, occasional slight foxing but internally overall very good.

Upsaliae 1756 First edition. 4:o. (4), 18 pp. Later marbled wrappers with hand written title label (ca. 1900). The second leaf with paperloss at lower corner (no loss of text). Contemporary name on title page and scribblings on last page.

Rear joint with some fraying, corners bumped, boards and edges rubbed, fore-edge with tiny ink spot. First free end paper with owner's signature, title-leaf with neat, near contemporary inscription. Page 193 with tiny ink spot, pages 223 and 365 with tiny hole and trifle, subsequent loss of text. The hand-coloured plates with some foxing, plates VI and VII quite heavily foxed, interior else with some underlinings in pencil and some neat, occasional, contemporary annotations in ink.

Front cover with large, triangular chip (3,5 x 3 cm) at upper corner, covers else with a couple of tiny tears and creases. Half-title leaf with 2,5 cm tear at upper edge, a couple of the plates faintly foxed, two sheets partly loose.

Uppsala, Almqvist & Wiksell, 1907. 30 x 25 cm. 30; 28; 8; 23, (1); 8; 12; 13-16; 15, (1) pp. + a total of 19 plates (of which one is in colour). Various reports from Sjöstedt's expedition bound in publisher's red cloth with gilt lettering and gilt edges, original front wrapper (from report 15) preserved. Spine slightly rubbed and faded, corners slightly bumped. Verso of first free endpaper with neat inscription in ink: "Fick dessa 1 nov. 1907 färdiga ark och planscher." Page 15 of the last report almost completely detached, the upper edge with some tiny tears and creases. Apart from the 10 plates belonging to the articles included, there are an additional nine plates belonging to other articles in the series. The copy might possibly be some sort of early, partial proof copy, as implied in the handwritten note at the lower edge of the first free endpaper. Various scientific reports from Sjöstedt's East African expedition bound in one volume. This volume contains articles 15:1 (Corrodentia. Termitidae.), 4 (Reptilia and Batrachia), 5 (Fishes), 8:1 (Hymenoptera. Tenthredinae), 8:2 (Hymenoptera. Formicidae.), 10:1 (Diptera. Pupipara), 17:1 (Orthoptera. Dermatoptera), 17:2 (Orthoptera. Blattodea), 20 (Arachnoidea).

Leipzig, 1693 (16) pp. Disbound. Spine with remnants of backstrip, last page with tiny (ca 3 mm) tear in the margin, else a well-preserved copy. Most probably the second edition of this controversial pamphlet first published in Leipzig in 1687. A third edition was to be published in 1694.
