Publisher's blue cloth with gilt lettering. Spine somewhat soiled and faded, spine ends bumped, boards just slightly rubbed, edges slightly foxed. Paste-down endpaper with the book-plate of Swedish botanist and zoologist Hugo Granvik, first free endpaper with gift inscription to Granvik, interior with some slight occasional foxing as well as a couple of neat margin notes in pencil. Condition Very Good to VG+.

Paris, G. Masson 1886. 12 pp. Sewn as issued. A very good copy, laid in a modern box. The first succesfull vacination against rabies was made in 1885 by Pasteur. (Académie de Médecine. Séance du 2 novembre 1886.)

Librairie Gallimard 1935 316, (1) pp. Contemporary half calf, no title on spine, top edge gilt, covers bound in. In very good condition, binding though a bit amateurish. No. 22 of 58 copies printed on "Impérial du Japon". Presentation copy with dedication from the author, signed Paul Valéry.

Joints partly i bit worn, first leaves with small stain, last leaves slightly waterstained, but still overall a very good copy. The complete first volume only of this work on agriculture, gardening and hunting. This volume goes from A to Oxy.

Lipsiae, J.C. Meyer 1692 Fifth revised edition. 4:o. (8), 156 pp. + 1 folding table. Contemporary vellum, title-page and two more pages with ink stains. Front free end-paper with old inscription.

Paris 1653. 12:o. (24), 584, (2) pp. Contemporary vellum. Neat, old inscrition on title-page about who actually wrote the book. Some underlines and a few marginal old annotations. Overall a very good copy.

Berlin, Dietrich Reimer (Ernst Vohsen) A.-G., 1920 VIII, 136 pp. + 8 plates with photographs + 1 folding map loosely inserted at the rear. Illustrated. Later, orange coloured cloth with original printed wrapper mounted on the front board. Front board just slightly warped at the edge, interior with some underlinings in pencil, title-leaf slightly soiled. The folding map with owner's stamp and ex-library stamp as well as a couple of minor tears at the edges. Recto of title-leaf with the owner's stamp of German geographer Carl Troll, verso of title-leaf with ex-library stamp. Title-leaf with an inscription to Troll from the author: "Herrn Troll freundl. überreicht vom Verfasser."

À Paris, de l'imprimerie Royale, 1728 (8), 123, (11) pp. Contemporary full calf binding with sprinkled edges, outer dentelles and richly gilt spine with five raised bands. Spine ends just slightly chipped, corners slightly bumped. Endpapers slightly soiled, interior else with some faint, very occasional foxing. With French king Louis Philippe I's (1773-1850) ex-library stamp on the title-leaf (Bibliothèque du Roi, Palais Royal).

VIII, (2), 404; (2), 430 pp. Near contemporary half calf with lavishly gilt spines and double lettering-pieces, in yellow and green respectively. Edges of boards slightly rubbed, corners bumped, spine labels partly somewhat rubbed. Interior of volume 2 with some faint, occasional foxing, else fine. Stéphanie Félicité du Crest de Saint-Aubin, Comtesse de Genlis (1746-1830), was a French writer, well known in her time inside as well as outside literary circles.
