Stuttgart, Johann Benedict Mezler 1776 (30), 86 pp. + 1 folding engraved plate. Contemporary boards, interleaved. One corner of front free end-paper cut out, book-plate, occasional foxing, otherwise overall very good.

With a total of 56 illustrations by Alphonse de Neuville and Léon Benett. Contemporary half-leather binding with marbled edges and sprarsely gilt spine with four raised bands. Spine and boards slightly rubbed and faded, corners bumped and rubbed. Hinges partly cracked, binding still quite firm.Endpapers and title-leaf with onwer's rubber stamp, interior with a couple of small stains, else well-kept. Early (second?) printing of "Le tour du monde en quatre-vingts jours" with Neuville's and Benett's illustrations, probably from the early to mid 1870s. The true first edition was published by Hetzel in 1872 and didn't contain the illustrations, which were first published in the 1873 edition. With the printers code 1757-73 on the last page. Variant with printer's imprint on title leaf verso measuring 82 mm.

Rouen, Le Boucher 1772 (4), XVI, 242, (2) pp. Near contemporary half calf, spine gilt, yellow edges. Two old signatures, minor rubbing to spine but overall a very clean and attractive copy. Gourdin (1739-1825), librarian and man of letters. In the above rather rare work he writes on astronomy, physics and electricity among other things.

Frankfurt am Main, D. Stempel 1950. 23x32 cm. (2), 25, (5) leaves. Publisher's calf-backed boards, spine ends damaged, otherwise very good. Printed in 580 numbered copies, this is no. 378. Added to this copy is a leaf, printed on Japan paper with a nice dedication from Zapf to Eva Billow: "Till minne av seminariet i bokstavskonst vid Grafiska Institutet i Stockholm med hälsning från Hermann Zapf Frankfurt am Main, maj 1952".

Berlin, 1902 34, (2) pp. + 14 plates with a total of 27 illustrations + 1 fold-out map. Near contemporary quarter cloth binding with marbled boards, original printed wrapper preserved. Spine and edges of boards slightly rubbed, spine with with simple, hand-lettered spine label, the preserved front wrapper with tiny inscription at upper edge. The fold-out map with 17 cm tear in one of the folds, interior else fine. The title-leaf with the stamp of the Reichskolonialbund, the collective body which reportedly absorbed the Deutsche Kolonialgesellschaft as well as all the other colonial organisations during the time of the Third Reich. Report from the Deutsche Koloniegesellschaft on the suitability of a potential settlement in the West Usambara region of today's Tanzania.

Upsaliae 1706. (4), 142 s. Nära samtida skinnband, ryggen med blinddekoration. Försättsblad med liten skada, lite fläckad i början, försättsblad och titelblad med äldre namnteckningar. Huvudsakligen ett bra exemplar.

In Torino, per gl'heredi di Gio. Domenico Tarino, 1619 (16), 342, (18); 86 pp. Contemporary full vellum with hand-lettered title on spine. Boards soiled and yellowed, rear board with tiny tear at upper margin, paste-down endpapers with some tears and creases. Owner's book-plate on paste-down endpaper, title-leaf and last page with ex-library stamps. Page [15] with chip at upper corner, pages 155-158 with tiny tear at upper margin, interior else with some occasional foxing. Paolo Filippi (1575-1610) was an Italian poet and secretary of Carlo Emanuele I of the Savoy. This is mainly a collection of his letters to prominent people, but does also contain some of his poetry as well.

Publisher's pictorial red cloth with upper edge gilt, other edges rough-trimmed. Spine faded, soiled and slanted, spine ends and corners bumped and frayed, boards with some slight dampstaining at the upper edge, hinges somewhat weak. Paste-down endpaper with the book-plate of Swedish traveller and botanist Hugo Granvik, first free endpaper with Granvik's signature, endpapers else slightly foxed and with some neat, additional annotations. The rough-trimmed edges with some occasional tiny tears and creases, three of the folding maps with one ca 8 cm tear each.

Häftad, med handskrivet omslag, omslaget trasigt och tejpat, inlagan i gott skick. Intressant manuskript som aldrig tycks ha blivit tryckt. Författaren var vid tiden för rapporten löjtnant vid Kungl. Jemtlands Fältjägar Corps.

Upsaliae, Edman 1775 First edition. 4:o. 18 pp. + 1 large folding engraved plate. Disbound, plate with minor tear, First leaves with minor worming in inner margin, lower margin with light waterstain throughout but overall a very good copy. An account of a collection of herbarium specimens of Surinam (Dutch Guiana) plants, given to Linné by Sweden's King Gustav III. Many of the new species were later included by his son Carl von Linné (filius) in his Supplementum plantarum (1781).
