This set contains 531 plates numbered 1-532 with some irregularities in numbering, there are 2 plate 313, some plates with 2 numbers, some numbers omitted (plate 331, 417, 426 and 490). There is also 10 maps. In contemporary half leather, 36 volumes, the last rebound with rests of the original spine pasted on. A few volumes with partly cracked hinge. A few with light foxing. From the library of the Naval Officers Society, Stockholm, with their blue and yellow band. This is a very heavy item, but the price includes shipping within EU. Outside EU there will be some extra shipping charges.

I gammal skrift på eftersättsbladet: Sjöfarten är ett ej obetydligt yrke i denna Werlden. Ett osvikeligt mod, förenat med de fastaste beslut att underkasta sig det grymmaste öde ja, den fasligaste död, fordras härtill.

In 3 red cloth bindings, 2 old and worn, one later. From the library of Birmingham with lots of small stamps. Many plates in volume 1 repaired but only one with loss of paper. Some leaves are brownish and a few with small stains. With a total of 56 maps and plates, probably 2 plates are missing, one in vol. 1 and one in vol. 2.
