I denna svit ingår de sällsynta första delarna.Svenskt Diplomatarium publicerar bevarade medeltidsdokument (diplom). Dessa finns bevarade antingen som original på pergament eller papper eller i form av senare avskrifter (medeltida eller eftermedeltida). Three volumes, 1 engraved frontispiece (close cut in outer margin), 2 titles in red and black with engraved vignette, 124 folding plates (of 124, nr 93-94 on same plate, number 89, 90, 94, and 98 engravings in the text, about 10 plates with tears, about 10 worn in the margins, about 40 more or less browned, otherwise foxing and staining, some dampstaining in the margins), some engraving and woodcuts in the text. Worn contemporary vellum, defective spine labels. Folio. 35,5 X 22 cm. Text mostly browned, otherwise foxed, some staining, some marginal dampstaining. Some leaves in the middle of part II with worming in inner upper margin, some minor and other marginal worming.

Engraved portrait + 2 engraved maps (of which 1 is folded, restored with slight picture loss and laid down, partly dampstained), 23 engraved plates and 8 vignetts to text, of which 2 coloured (all, partly slightly dampstained). 2 page advertisement at the end. Uncut in later brown gilt morocco. Lacking half title. Text only partly dampstained in beginning. First edition published in 1798-1802.

London/Bristol, 1850-53. Two parts in one volume. Two titles. Coloured lithograph frontispiece, 38 coloured lithograph plates (all). Contemporary full calf, gilt decorated covers, inner gilt dentelles, richly gilt spine, gilt edges. 27 X 21,5 cm Plates with minor foxing, text with some offsetting and foxing. Split inner joints, sligthly loose in binding.

Amsterdam, M. Schalekamp, 1780. Vierde Druk. Two volumes, 4 + XIV + 323; 8 + 211 + 20 p. Engraved frontispiece, engraved portrait, 4 folding engraved maps and 47 engraved plates, of which 18 are folding (light watermarks affecting some leaves). Modern half calf, marbled boards, spine gilt, new endpapers. 27,5 X 22 cm. Text in Dutch. Fourth edition of the "Oost-Indische Voyagie" with somewhat altered title. The book was first printed in 1676. The author had been as a surgeon from 1658 to 1665 on the services of the Dutch East India Company. Besides his ethnographical and geographical description he gives ample information about the various wars and battles between the Dutch, the Portuguese, and the various natives in the East Indies. A very nice and crisp copy.

Paris, Treuttel et Würtz, 1805. Two volumes, (4) + 512 p. + 72 engraved plates;(4) + 473 + (1) p. + 45 engraved plates. Complete with totally 117 engraved plates. Contemporary half calf. Owner´s signature (R. Santesson). Label (Alfred Déséglise). Edges are uncut. Tear in title page second volume. Interior and plates are in very good condition. The spines rubbed at top and bottom.

Rebound in new half leather in contemporary style. All except one volume Bound with covers. Tear in one off covers. One of isseue bound in last volume hve wrong number, but pages are in the right order. The photo shows one volume in the series. Text in French. Nice piece of solid workmanship Propably bound by Lars-Göran Carlsson, Sandviken.

Stockholm, Adolf Bonnier, 1862. Folio. 89 till kolorerade litograferade kartor, alla. Halvskinnband med fyra upphöjda bind och guldornerad rygg. 48,5 X 31,5 cm. Nött rygg med delvis bortnött ryggtitel. Kartorna i gott skick Sala ingår med utvikbar karta.

Bonon, [Bologna, Nicolaum Tebaldinum],1645. (4, included engraved title) + 718 + (1 blank) + (16) p. Engraved title (cut close in lower margin). Last page with woodcut printer´s device. Illustrated with several full-page woodcut illustrations. Later full dark red morocco, gilt spine with blank title label, slightly faded. New endpapers. 35,5 X 24,5 cm. Enclosed is a letter from previous purchaser to bookdealer Bernand Rosenthal, New York, regarding library stamps. Ulisse Aldrovandi (1522-1605), Italian natural scientist and physician, from 1553 professor in Bologna, where he founded a Botanical Garden and a Museum. He started producing a very extensive summary of natural sciences, but published only four of the volumes himself. He also made important contributions to pharmacology and published a Pharmocopé in 1574.

The Library of Imperial History, 1974-76. Centenary Limited Edition. 33 volumes. Illustrated with numerous photographic plates, maps and charts. Full vellum with all edges gilt, front boards gilt-stamped with the Churchill coat of arms in custom dark green slipcase. The slipcase also gilt-stamped with the Churchill coat of arms. Volume 20 is missing. Most of the volumes have gotten darker in the vellum. Some of the slipcases worn on the surface. The Collection is issued as a limited edition of 3000 sets in total and contains all 50 of Churchill's published titles, arranged in 34 volumes. Four volumes of Essays were published three years later in matching format and were not issued with this set. The photo shows two volumes in the series.

N. Cohens Bogtrykkeri, 1885-1887. Två volymer, (2), 473, blank, VII ( Fremmede ord + rettelser) + (4), 363, blank. Båda volymerna i samtida Klotband. Both volumes in Contemporary cloth. (Socialistisk bibliotek IV-V) Första danska utgåvan av "Das Kapital" översatt från den tyska utgåvan som publicerades i Hamburg 1883 och 1885. Tryckåret är 1886 på smutstitelsidan i serien Socialistisk bibliotek vol. 4 och 5 som gavs ut av Socialdemokratiska partiet i danmark, men 1885 på titelsidan för själva Kapitalen. (Allt som utkom i den första danska utgåvan). First Danish edition of "Das Kapital", translated from the German edition published in Hamburg 1883 and 1885. Printing year 1886 on Half title in the Issued volumes 4 and 5 of the "Socialistisk Bibliotek" published by the Danish Social-Democratic Workers' Party in 1886-87, but 1885 on the title page of Kaptalen. (All that was published in the first Danish edition).
