1. udgave, første oplag af En To-Værelses Straks! / First edition in the original photo collage wraps. Edvard Heiberg was among the leading figures in the struggle for cultural values in Danish society. In 1930 Heiberg became a professor at the famous Bauhaus in Dessau, where Hannes Meyer had replaced Walter Gropius as director. But it was a short stay due to the political troubles that soon brought the school to an end. Heiberg later went to Moscow for a short stay also where he worked on urban planning with the expatriate Hannes Meyer. Heiberg was a convinced and active communist. He became chairman of the Studentersamfundet in 1933 and editor of the magazine Plan. During the occupation, he also ended up in Vestre prison and then came to Horserødlejren until he escaped and came to Sweden. Here he worked until the liberation of Svenska Riksbyggen. After returning home, he resumed his collaboration with Karl Larsen, and they built, among other things, one of the high-rise buildings at Bellahøj and a section of the large residential area Voldparken in Husum. In addition to his many excellent articles in Kritisk Revy, Arkitekten and others, H. marks his strong social commitment with the book 2 Vær. straks, 1935, a harsh contribution to the housing debate.
