Med en text av Johan Ludvig Hård (s. 737-40, 753-55): ''Ueber die misgeglükte revolution in Schweden im Jahr 1756, vom Graf von Hordt selbst geschrieben, und von seiner Teilnahmer daran'', om sin medverkan i drottning Lovisa Ulrikas misslyckade statskupp 1756, som han var med att planlägga. Efter avslöjandet tvingades han på flykten och kom att ta tjänst i Preussen hos Fredrik den store.

Med Albert Engströms namnteckning på skyddsomslagets framsida samt med dedikation från Wrangel till Engström på smutstitelbladet: "À mon cher ami Albert Engström en grande estime de pensée, Paris 28 Juin 1920".

Publisher's printed wrappers. Spine and covers slightly yellowed, rear cover slightly soiled, spine with a neatly hand-lettered figure in ink, else fine. Rare and important work on this people living in western Tanzania. Comprising a total of three volumes, this is volume II.

Elegant, contemporary half-calf with yellow tinted edges, marbled boards and lavishly gilt spines. Corners somewhat bumped and rubbed, title-leaves with discretely crossed out signatures, two of them with a couple of professionally restored chips. Interiors with a couple of tiny chips at corners and edges, part one with some soiling and dampstaining to pages 29-36.

Obituary of Bóttego from Italian newspaper bound in at rear end. Margin tears on maps. A very good copy. Vittorio Bóttego (1860 – 1897), Italian army officer and one of the first Western explorers of Jubaland in the Horn of Africa.

Åbo 1810 (2), XVI, 4l2 s. Samtida halvfranskt band med ryggförgyllning, ryggen lite spräckt längs med, inlagan delvis fläckig, några blad med liten reva, ett hörn rivet, lösa försättsblad saknas, äldre namnteckningar på insidan av främre pärm.

Unfortunately one leaf (141/142 in second part) has a rather big hole with loss of text, also margin of this leaf and the prevoius leaf is damaged, othewise a very well kept and clean copy.

Vitembergae, Prelo Hakiano 1707. (40) pp. Disbound. Slightly yellowed, upper edge with small enumeration in contemporary hand. Pages 3-40 slighly tighter cut than the first leaf. Well preserved. A dissertation on the mystic and theologian Jacob Böhme, divided in four chapters: Life and death; Writings; Doctrines; Followers. A German translation was published the same year.

Head of spine slightly chipped, front joints with cracks (1-2,5 cm) at spine ends, interior with some faint occasional foxing. With Hungarian banquer and book collector Arpad Plesch's book-plate on paste-down endpaper.

London, Bradbury and Evans, 1854-1855. First edition. VIII, 380; VIII, 375, (1) pp. + lithographed title-leaves and 46 lithographed plates. With illustrations in the text. Contemporary half-calf bindings with marbled boards, sprinkled edges and lavishly gilt spines with five raised bands. Joints and boards rubbed, corners quite heavily bumped and rubbed, front hinge of volume 1 cracked, binding still firm though. Plates generally quite heavily foxed, interior else fine.
