Initially planned as an exhibition on kinetic art, it gives a very good historical overview on machinic, kinetic and cybernetic art. "Carl von Platen was a Swedish aristocrat, photographer, and writer, who was known for his depictions of young men posing in revealing costumes and other attire. Because the images were deemed homoerotic, he was arrested, but through his father's efforts, Carl was instead declared to be incompetent, and was released from prison. Later, Carl became a travel writer and published numerous travelogues" (Wikitree)
