Verlegt von Bauer und Compagnie, Strassburg, 1773 XII, (4), 248 pp. Contemporary half-vellum with red-tinted edges, marbled boards and hand-lettered title on spine. Spine and boards somewhat soiled and rubbed, the last thirty pages with faint dampstain in the lower margin. French treatise in German translation on the use of daphne for medical purposes. Quite an attractive copy of a rarely seen book.

Paris, Libraire de L. Hachette 1853 Sixth edition. 21,5x14,5 cm. VI, 836; 852 pp. + 48 double-page tissue-guarded plates ( nos. 1-40). 3 volumes in ontemporary or near contemporary light brown half-calf bindings with gilt spines and red title labels in leather, green sprinkled edges, darker brown moiré patterned paper covers. Inscriptions on front free endpapers dated 1888. Slightly worn and rubbed spines, a bit worn and slightly bumped corners, a minor damage on upper board of vol. 1, title leaf of the volume with planches is close trimmed on fore-edge but not affecting text. Content is overall crisp. A very good set.

Sundsvall, Boktryckeri-Aktie-Bolaget, 1880 23 x 15 cm. 56, VI, VII, V, VI s. + 2 utvikbara bilagor (B-C och E-F). Häftad i tryckta omslag. Omslagen endast obetydligt solkade samt med några smärre riss och veck, ryggen något naggad intill kapitälen. Främre omslaget med liten stämpel (H.J.F. Gahn, Kåfalla) samt med dedikation från landshövdingen Curry Treffenberg till brukspatronen och riksdagsmannen Henric P.W Gahn. Rapport avlämnad av bland andra Curry Treffenberg, landshövding i Västernorrlands län vid tiden för Sundsvallsstrejken 1879, med anledning av densamma. Strejken upplöstes efter att Treffenberg i sin egenskap av landshövding tillkallat militär hjälp. Sundsvallsstrejken 1879 var den första större strejken i Sverige och kom att påskynda arbetarrörelsens utveckling.

Paris, chez Debray 1803. XXVIII, 340; 301, (7) pp. Contemporary half calf, spines gilt. A very good and attractive set. With the book-plate of Nils Gyldenstolpe and his ownership stamp on title.

Berlin 1899 31x23 cm. VI, (1), 454 pp. + 11 folding plate. Richly illustrated in the text. Original half cloth, minor damage to foot of spine, number written on head of spine, a few old stamps inside but overall a very good copy.

Published for the author, London, 1823 Third edition. VII, (1), 284 pp. + 20 hand-coloured plates. Rebound in marbled boards with gilt spine label. Plates and interior with some occasional foxing, page 107 with triangular chip in the margin measuring ca 1,5 x 3 cm. A neatly rebound copy of this charmingly illustrated work.

München, Holbein Verlag 1920. 28 pp. + 102 mounted plates, some full-pages, other smaller with 3 or 4 on the same leaf. Loose as issued in publisher's printed cloth-backed portfolio. The portfolio is partly damaged inside but the text and plates are in very good condition. This copy has belonged to the Swedish art historian Gunnar Jungmarker with his book-plate and signatures.

Coloniae, J.A. Kinck 1657-1665. (2), 6, 11-20, (2), 208, (52): (16), 304 pp. + 21 portraits on 19 plates. Contemporary vellum, slightly stained, otherwise very good. This work seems to need a third part which is not present here, the second volume here seems to be in a slightly later edition. Eventhough the mispagination in the beginning it seems complete there.

Stockholm 1937 4:o. XXVII, (3), 675 pp. + 41 plans (3 included in pagination, some folding, two in a pocket at end). Richly illustrated in the text. Publisher's cloth, hinges weak, otherwise very good. (The Swedish Cyprus Expedition.)

Something else Press [1968] (176) pp. Profusely illustrated. Publisher's cloth, dust-jacket with a small mended tear, otherwise a near fine copy. ''Changes, a look into the working notebooks of Merce Cunningham, is the most comprehensive book on choreography to emerge from the new dance. Cunningham's reflections on his art engage the reader in an awareness of both his own sensibility and the potential of the medium. Its pages are reproductions of the in-progress notes for the individual dances - to indicate the method - superimposed with speculation - to define the problem - and complemented with visual and other material relevant to the performing arts.'' (from dust-jacket) To this copy is loosely added a small card written by hand and signed Merce Cunningham, also added is part of the envelope, wiht adress and sender, in which the book was sent to Sweden.

London, 1774. The Fourth Edition. 1 engraved frontispiece, X, 158 pp. & 1 engraved plate. Clean and uncut in modern boards. Minimal worm hole in frontispiece. Complete title: "An Enquiry into the Nature, Order, and Government of Bees, Those Instructive and Useful Insects. With a New, Easy and Effectual Method to preserve them, not only in Colonies, but common Hives. A Secret unknown to past Ages, and now published for the Benefit of Mankind."

À Stockholm, de l'imprimerie royale, 1785 21,5 x 19 cm. 44 s. Häftad i senare (ca 1880-tal)? Marmorerade pappomslag. Främre och bakre omslagen med vertikalt veck. Titelbladet med lagning i inre marginalen, inlagan i övrigt med några lagade naggar och revor, några sidor med förstärkta innermarginaler. Ett par sidor med några smärre markeringar i bläck, sidorna 1-8 respektive 38-43 med fuktfläck i övre marginalen. Programhäfte från det av Gustav III:s arrangerade tornerspelet, vilket ägde rum på Drottningholm i anslutning till bröllopet mellan Gustaf Mauritz Armfelt och Hedvig de la Gardie i augusti 1785.

Stockholm, P.A. Norstedt & Söner, 1842 39, (1) s. + 12 litograferade planscher. Häftad i blått pappkuvert med monterad, litograferad pärmbild, de tolv litografiska planschbladen löst bifogade. Pappkuvertet något veckat och naggat samt med några längre revor, häftets ryggremsa med ett par små naggar intill ryggfoten. De litografiska planscherna delvis lite lätt lagerfläckade, i övrigt välhållna. Häftet med text på tyska, en variant med svensk text utkom året innan. De trevliga planscherna är litograferade av Hårdh & Co. efter teckningar av Ferdinand Tollin.

Häftade, ouppskurna. Ryggarna något fläckade, omslagen delvis något gulnade samt med några smärre veck längs kanterna, del II dessutom med några smärre riss. En rätt så fin uppsättning, de små anmärkningarna till trots. ''Till dess du ordet talat, kan du det förborga; / Men sedan du det talat, hur hålla ordet dolt?'' Del I utgiven i en upplaga om 500 exemplar, delarna II-III utgivna i upplagor om 300 exemplar.

Parma, nel regal palazzo, co' tipi Bodoniani, 1793 (10), XXI, (3), 196 pp. + 1 engraved portrait. Later (ca 1900) half calf with marbled boards, uncut edges and sparsely gilt spine with black spine label and five raised bands. An attractive copy. Eustachio Manfredi (1674-1739) was an italian mathematician, astronomer and poet. This collection of his poetry, along with a biographical sketch, was published and printed by Bodoni in an edition of 200 copies. The portrait of Manfredi was engraved by Francesco Rosaspina.

Berlin, G.J. Decker 1772. 4:o. XXIV, 464, (16) + 2 large engraved folding battle plans with fold-outs + 1 engraved plate. Contemporary boards, worn, spine partly damaged. Half-title is missing from this copy. Otherwise mainly a clean copy on thick paper.

Verona, Giovanni Gambaretti 1808 27,5x20 cm. XVI, 497, (2); 502, (2) pp. + 2 folded engraved plates. Two volumes. Sewn as issued, in partly torn marbled wrappers with hand written labels to spines, uncut and unopened. Title page to vol 1 with engraved vignette.

Wunderhorn Verlag 1912. 49,5x38 cm. Copyright leaf, title-leaf + 24 colotype plates, all with tissue guards. Loose as issued in publisher's portfolio, portfolio partly worn and damaged Robert Spies was a German artist who died in First World War, only 28 years old.

[Altona], Auf kosten guter Freunde gedruckt 1755-1761. (24), 216, 208, 216; (24), 654, (10) pp. Near contemporary full calf, spines slightly worn, internally very good. Due to a letter from Gjörwell this collection of texts was brought together by the pietist Johan Forssel and translated into German by the pastor of a small Free Church in Altona Lars Segerholm.
