London, printed for T. Payne 1802. First edition. VIII, 122, (2) pp. Contemporary full calf, worn, joints weak and partly cracked. Waterstain throughout, some foxing and staining inside, minor marginal worming. Anne Hunter (1742-1821), salonnière and poet. Wrote lyrics to nine of Haydn's 14 songs in English and published this collection of poems in 1802 with a second edition 1803, both very scarce.

London, Bradbury and Evans, 1848 First edition. XVI, 624 pp. + 1 frontispiece, 1 illustrated title leaf and 38 plates. Illustrated with woodcuts in the text. Near contemporary (ca 1870s?) half calf with gilt upper edge and sparsely gilt spine with red, morocco spine label and five raised bands. Spine ends and joints with some light rubbing, corners slightly bumped. The plates with varying degrees of foxing, the following pages generally with some subsequent offsetting and foxing, verso of the last plate with handwritten annotation in ink. Somewhat later printing of the first edition with the typo ('Mr Pitt' instead of 'Sir Pitt') on page 453 left uncorrected, but with the woodcut on page 336 of the first printing omitted. A rather attractive copy of an early printing of the first edition of this classic novel.

Unfortunetely the record is missing from this copy, otherwise a very good copy. This is the Swedish edition of a remarkable catalogue which was also published in French, German and English. Text in Swedish. Added to this copy is an openeing card and a printed leaflet presenting the book.

Contemporary mottled calf with five raised bands, gilt decorated spine, gilt borders, marbled edges and marbled endpapers. Rear joint with ca 1 cm crack at head of spine, head of spine and upper edge of boards just slightly and partially faded, spine ends chipped, corners quite heavily bumped and rubbed. Free end paper with some annotations in ink, page 33 of 'Le factionnaire' restored at lower corner, page 167 of 'Le parc au cerf' with ca 2,5 x 4 cm chip at lower corner. Pages 116-118 of 'Charles IX' quite heavily foxed, interior else with just some very faint and occasional foxing. The fonrtispiece of 'Le parc au cerf' with some small chips and tears in the left margin, the second plate ('La Marquise de Pompadour') with tiny whole at lower edge. Three works published the year after the French revolution all bound together in one volume.

Ett blad med marginallagning, ett blad med reva i marginalen, den stora planscher med liten reva, enstaka fläckar i texten men huvudsakligen ett bra exemplar. Försättsblad med två senare exlibris. Författaren visar i denna avhandling hur fel de har som hävdar att kungens värja kommit på avvägar efter slaget vid Lützen.

Spine just slightly slanted, spine ends and corners just slightly bumped, the cloth of the front joint with ca 2 cm tear, binding still firm. A couple of pages with some slight foxing, interior else fine. With the advertisement at the rear announcing a "New edition of Oliver Twist", followed by three lines in italics. Supposedly the second printing of the first edition of Dickens' third Christmas book. A well-kept copy of what supposedly is the second printing of Dickens' third Christmas book.

Loose as issued in original portfolio with title-label on upper cover. The portfolio is damaged and covers are detached. The etchings are in very good condition. Views from Venice. Oskar Graf (1873-1958) was a German art nouveau painter and printmaker who worked in Munich. Publihed in a limited edition of 53 copies, this is no. 26.

Första upplagan av Berggrens berättelse om sina resor i Syrien, Egypten och Palestina åren 1820-23, som senare översattes till flera språk. Det botaniska bihanget till vol. 2 (70 s.) är författat av Göran Wahlenberg.
