På främre pärmens insida Albert Sahlins exlibris, ett träsnitt med avbildning av Villa Skansen (Sahlins hem i Eslöv, som var en kulturell samlingspunkt för konstnärer och författare, med ett privat konstgalleri). Tre tidningsurklipp bifogade varav ett med en artikel om Brunius' bedömningar av dansk konst, och ett med en satirteckning över kubistiskt måleri. Studier av moderna konstströmningar med tonvikt på Frankrike och Skandinavien, men även med en artikel om "Kolorism och kubism i ny svensk arkitektur". I en recension i Der Sturm 1914 beklagade man att Brunius fullständigt ignorerat Tyskland.
