Ryggen svagt falmet. * Med dedikation fra Holger Drachmann til Sophus Schandorph - to af 'Det moderne Gjennembruds Mænd', som begge blev portrætteret af Georg Brandes i bogen af samme navn i 1883.

Slight foxing here and there, but still a lovely set indeed. * Schiller's historical work was continued after his death in 1805, so the last to volumes were finished by Karl Curths.** The set is complete, but the tome numbers at the spines might cause some confusion: They are labelled 1/1, 1/2, 3, 4 and 5, but the volume labelled '3' is actually the second part and so forth.

A bit of foxing to the engraved titleleaf, but besides that a very nice copy on bright white paper with only a bit of foxing to the lower margin. Inner hinges a bit weak for the first leaves. Armorial bookplate inserted. * Nice copy. With prospects of Lausanne (frontespiece), Thun, Lausanne, Genève, Interlaken, Zürich, Fribourg, Trento, Tronsberg, Innsbruck and Feldkirch.

With inscription on inner cover. Owners stamp on halftitle page. Front cover with some staining. Cover a bit sunned. Good. * A very attractive Art Nouveau book.

Poul Christensens første bogarbejde og en klassiker inden for dansk bogillustration. Med denne bog debuterede en af dansk bogkunsts fineste udøvere. "Egentlig var det først med denne bog, at Blicher, fortælleren Blicher, novellens forfatter fandt sin illustrator. Povl Christensen kunne som tilrettelægger binde billeder og typografi sammen, så denne bog kom til at stå som en af de smukkeste og mest helstøbte ikke blot i hans produktion, men i dansk bogkunst overhovedet." Bound in a contemporary full vellum binding with hand written author names to the spine. Front cover vellum slightly loosened at the pastedown. Boards a bit bowed. A few contemporary notes to the flyleaf, first leaf of the Tibullus work and at the back of the book. Name to the verso of the flyleaf. * Nice Amsterdam edition of the two Roman poets of the late republic.

Titlepage and last page with some foxing. * First English edition of Helwig´s historical table, where the history of the world (i.e. Europe) is presented in columns from the creation of the world until 1636, here prolonged to 1689 (the last columns, of course, are not filled out). First edition was published in Marburg 1609.** Christopher Helwig (1581-1617) was professor in Hebrew at the University of Giessen.
