Matthäus Roritzer/Roriczer served as master builder for the Regensburg Cathedral, and for the Eichstätt Cathedral he created the capital sacresty and the Roritzer Chapel with its fan vault. The "Fialen Gerechtigkeit" was published in order to enable stonemasons to produce correspondingly proportioned stones with the help of triangulature; the "Geometrie Deutsch" provides general geometric principles of Gothic construction and design.
