Worringer celebrates the "gothic impulse" to create stylised art and defines Gothic as a northern Germanic phenonemon, opposing it to a Mediterranean infatuation with verisimilitude. This copy is from the library of the Swedish art scholar and museum curator Sixten Strömbom.
