Olle Hjortzberg etablerade sig i början av 1900-talet som en av Sveriges ledande moderna kyrkomålare. Albertus Pictors målningar var uppenbarligen en viktig inspiration.

Guinchard var chef för det 1908 upprättade Stockholms stads statistiska kontor (och bland hans medarbetare fanns den unge amanuensen och sedermera borgarrådet Yngve Larsson).
