The architect's own account of the Pirelli Tower project, first published in the magazine DOMUS. In this publication his Italian text is supplied with translations into English, French, Spanish, and German, printed on yellow, blue, red, and green paper respectively. The Pirelli tower built 1956-58 and for a long time the tallest building in Italy, was among the world's first skyscrapers to abandon the customary block form, and obviously an inspiration for the design of the Pan Am (now MetLife) Building in New York.
