(Svenska Arkitekters Riksförbunds och Svenska Slöjdföreningens Bostadsutredning / The Housing Investigation of the National Association of Swedish Architects and the Swedish Society of Industrial Design). A substantial and extensively illustrated report on Stockholm dwelling and furnishing habits in the 1940s, based upon investigations and interviews in 100 families in a Stockholm suburb. Although Lena Larsson gets no credit on the title pages, it is mentioned in the preface that the investigations were carried out by her during the winter 1942-43. The report was finished in 1955, but publishing was poststponed in order to coincide with the planned appearance of another report of the housing investigation; this was not completed however. Each chapter is extensively summarized in English and all illustrations have bilingual Swedish/English captions.

Paris, Calmann Lévy, 1885. 17x11. IV+IV+194 pp. Printed wrappers. A fine copy, inscribed by the author, with very light internal foxing and minor wear to head and tail of backstrip. First edition, in wrappers boasting '12e Édition'. A treatise on workers' housing written by a member of the 'Académie des sciences morales et politiques', a resolute conservative and a partisan of private property and state liberalism, but "on the condition that private initiative plays its full social and economic role".
