A complete set of the catalogues produced for the spectacular two-day auction of works put up for sale by Damien Hirst in London on 15 and 16 September 2008, with special publications on 'The Golden Calf' (which was sold for £70.5 million) and 'The Kingdom' (sold for £9.6 million). A landmark event inasmuch as Hirst auctioned his own works directly, bypassing traditional galleries, and set a record for a single-artist auction with a total of almost £111 million.

A documentation of the 1914 German Werkbund Exhibition, "a very important exhibition of industrial art at Cologne which some have regarded in retrospect as the most important of this century" (Arnold Whittick). Includes photos of Bruno Taut's Glass House and its interior as well as buildings, tram cars and railway carriages, furniture, fabrics, glass and ceramic ware, metalwork, jewellery, etc. designed by Peter Behrens, Lucian Bernhard, Walter Gropius, Josef Hoffmann, Hermann Muthesius, Emil Orlik, Bruno Paul, Max Pechstein, Richard Riemerschmid, Oskar Strnad, Heinrich Tessenow, Henry van de Velde, Josef Wackerle, and others.

Introduction by Gregor Paulsson, leader of the Swedish Werkbund (Svenska Slöjdföreningen) and the prime mover of the exhibition project. Among the views are the main entrance building, pavilions and restaurant buildings designed by Gunnar Asplund and others, interior views of Orrefors Glass and other exhibitions, the Planetarium building, houses in the Home Exhibition, aerial views, etc.
