Stockholm, Hyresgästernas Förlag, 1937. 24x26. 128 pp. Ca 135 photographs including nearly 100 full-page (more than 60 by Andreas Feininger, and ca 35 by Victor Malmström and J.W. Stjernström).and eight plans. A very good copy in publisher's printed cloth, pictorial front wrapper bound in. Presentation copy with a signed gift inscription by Sven Wallander. One page with ink underlinings. An attractive photographic record of tenement houses and flats produced by the cooperative housing association HSB founded in the mid-1920s on the inititative of Sven Wallander. Text probably by Annastina Alkman. HSB and its architectural office directed by Wallander was instrumental in setting the technical, social and architectural standards for modern Swedish housing, introducing common laundry rooms, day care centres, built-in garbage chutes, etc.

A thorough architectural documentation of Soviet Workers' Club and 'Culture Palace' design between 1926 and 1932, including entries to architectural competitions. Includes several projects by Konstantin Melnikov, among the other architects are Ilya Golosov, Ivan Leonodov, Nikolai Kolli, Moisei Ginzburg, Yakov Kornfeld, Mikhail Barshch, the Vesnin brothers, etc.

Publisher's printed cloth-backed boards. Some internal foxing and external stains. 'Dritte Auflage'. A collection of detailed designs for shop fronts and interiors, front doors, windows, wellhouse, decorative wooden details, etc.

Sällsynt prospekt med förslag till tio byggnader med 2-6 rum och kök, alla benämnda Villa med attributen Sommarro, Solängen, Alfhem, Tallåsen, etc. Texterna innehåller uppgifter om storlek och takhöjd, källare, byggnadsmaterial m.m. samt ungefärlig byggkostnad; priser för byggnadsritning införda med bläck."Det är av största vikt då man skall bygga att man först skaffar sig ett gott byggnadsförslag med goda ritningar, ty det kostar i vanliga fall lika mycket och ofta mer att bygga ett fult opraktiskt hus som att bygga ett prydligt och tidsenligt sådant". Ett tillägg i prydlig bläckskrift "Eftertryck eller kopiering är förbjudet".

Norwich & London, Jarrold, 1945. 30x25. XII+276 pp. + 43 leaves (including frontispiece) five of which are folding, with ca 58 plans (50 coloured including 20 full-page), 35 perspective renderings (six coloured including two full-page), and 110 photos. 45 additional plans, diagrams and graphs in the text. A fine copy in publisher's blue cloth with red lettering; the scarce pictorial dust jacket preserved but with a few large chippings in bottom margin and rear. Rowland's utopian Manchester Plan was arguably the the most ambitious re-imagining of a British city ever conceived, verging on obliteration and replacement of a city rather than a mere 'redevelopment'. To realise the vision of a rational modern city, most of the older buildings would have to go, including Alfred Waterhouse's Town Hall. A very fine set with discreet name labels of the Swedish design and photography critic Ulf Hård af Segerstad on front wrapper insides. Originally published simultaneously in 1965, the Circle volume is the 1966 reprint.

A pictorial survey of some thirty modern villas designed by Neutra, with text by the architect. The majority of the houses are built in California, but examples are included from other American states as well as from Switzerland.

Book in publisher's gilt-lettered cloth kept, together with plate box, in a pictorial slipcase. English-language edition of this sumptuously produced and comprehensively illustrated scholarly study of the Stockholm Town Hall designed by Ragnar Östberg, with emphasis on the ideas and considerations behind the architecture, interior design and decoration of the project from the early Court House proposals to the opening in 1923. The loose folding plates are diminished facsimiles of the meticulous plans, elevations and sections of the building executed in 1923 by Östberg's collaborator Birger Borgström.
