A pictorial survey introduced with an essay on cottage building, notes on the subjects illustrated, and a descriptive list of the plates. Architects include Lutyens, Voysey, Richard Norman Shaw, Ernest Newton, Guy Dawber, Mervin Macartney, William Eden Nesfield, Geoffrey Lucas, Reginald Blomfield, Andrew N. Prentice, Maurice B. Adams, etc.

Helsingfors 1946. 21x15. 80 pp. Reproductions of marks, and 21 photos. Contemporary neat half red leather, top edge gilt, printed wrappers and backstrip bound in. No. 235 of an edition limited to 500 copies. Dictionary of the goldsmiths of the Baltic city Narva (in Swedish possession 1581-1704) and the city Nyen founded by the Swedes in 1611 and largely destroyed when captured by the Russian in 1703.

Berlin 1925. 30x21. IV+104 pp. 26 photos, 134 plans, elevations, perspectives, sections and detail drawings, and 11 reproductions of pictorial signboards. Publisher's printed cloth, a very nice copy with minor external signs of wear. An early work on the design of urban parking buildings and garages, including a special feature on a large parking structure design prepared by Luckhardt & Anker. Not least intriguing are the reproductions of dramatically designed pictorial signboards warning against high-speed or reckless driving, smoking in the garage, and other perils.

Stockholm 1967. 36x29. 208 pp. on newsprint. Ca 400 photos and drawings including 75 full-page. Pictorial wrappers, a very good copy. Illustrated documentation of the creation, exhibition / public participation, reception, and subsequent destruction of "HON" (Swedish for She) in Stockholm 1966. The multicoloured giant woman (28 metres long) was created by Niki de Saint Phalle; between her legs was the entrance to an environment created by Jean Tinguely and Per Olov Ultvedt. HON was built and finally dismantled by the artists inside the largest exhibition hall in Moderna Museet.

Publisher's printed cloth-backed boards (neatly rebacked retaining the original printed backstrip). Covers slightly grubby and edgeworn, internal foxing mainly of first and last leaves.

English-language edition of the monograph on Masereel first published in German in 1976, including the French-language bibliography and catalogue raisonné of the artist's illustrative work, revised by Pierre Vorms for the present monograph.
