Faint shadow of removed price-tag in bottom corner of rear cover, otherwise a very good copy. An intense, and eventually melancholy, love story told by Niki de Saint Phalle with her idiosyncratic and occasionally psychedelic drawings.

Utgavs ursprungligen i tio häften innehållande vardera nio planscher.

Publisher's black cloth with gilt title design on front cover, and endpapers with gilt ornamental designs. An attractive copy handsomely rebacked with black leather spine; very light trace of damp in upper margin corner of the frontispiece, binding slightly weakened. Major monograph on the co-founder of the Munich Secession, published thirteen years before he was ennobled Franz Ritter von Stuck.

Published in conjunction with an exhibition of Korean decorative art, mostly ceramics but including furniture etc.

The Dominican Motherhouse and the Patient Search for Architecture'.

Publisher's gilt-lettered decorated bluegrey cloth, very light wear to head and foot of spine and extreme cover tips. Two names on front free endpaper: one dated -09, and Göran Sidenbladh's dated -43. Some pencil markings and margin notes by Sidenbladh. The fourth, revised, extended and definitive edition of Sitte's famous work on town building. This is the copy Göran Sidenbladh used when he made the Swedish translation, which was published with his commentaries in 1982. As Director of City Planning for Stockholm from 1953 through the 60s and early 70s, Sidenbladh was instrumental in the obliteration of the old city centre district (Nedre Norrmalm) and the planning of the suburbs Skärholmen, Spånga, Rinkeby, Tensta, etc.

Publisher's gilt-lettered cloth. A good copy in lightly dulled covers, spine head and tail and corner tips lightly rubbed. Substantial Russian work on theatre architecture, the first half covering history and development with illustrations of buildings by Quarengi, Thomon, Rossi, and others; the second half dealing with modern theatre design in the Soviet Union with illustrations from the work of Barkhin, Vesnin, Golosov, Fomin, Shchusev, Tamanyan, Burov, etc. Not in Senkevitch.

Stockholm 1889. 24x18. 12 s. + 10 planscher, vardera med en villa illustrerad med perspektivritning och två planritningar. Tryckta blågröna omslag. Ett mycket fint exemplar av denna sällsynta publikation, med försumbara yttre åldersspår. En karta över den planerade villastaden bifogades ursprungligen prospektet men saknas här. Henrik Palme hade medverkat vid exploateringen av Villastaden norr om Humlegården i Stockholm, och 1883 köpte han egendomen Svalnäs norr om Djursholms slott. När ägaren till Djursholmsgodset avled 1886 tog Palme initiativ till Djursholmsbolaget, som köpte den stora egendomen av dödsboet för att förverkliga idén om en utpräglad villastad efter utländsk modell. I erbjudandet till spekulanterna ingick att bolaget också kunde stå för att uppföra villorna, och i prospektet presenteras tio typhus som marknadsfördes som färdigbyggda villor, med priser inklusive tomt mellan 13 000 kr och 16 000 kr.

Publisher's quarter cloth with printed front cover label, top edge gilt. A fine copy with very light wear to cover corner tips. The widely influential monograph on Lutyens's domestic architecture providing splendid illustrations of all major houses and gardens with critical description, and a complete list of his works from 1888 to 1913.

On first, blank page the pencil signature of Bengt Dahlbäck, the art historian and later superintendent of the Swedish National Museum of Art. (Studien der Bibliothek Warburg, 18).

Exterior very lightly worn, contents excellent, a very good copy. First edition of this publication credited as being one of the first important books acknowledging African art in Europe, as well as an influence on the modern Cubist art promoted by Carl Einstein.
