Except for three semesters at the University of Berlin, he received his higher education at Köningsberg, where he became a lifelong friend of both Hilbert, who was a fellow student, and the slightly older Hurwitz, who was beginning his professorial career. This volume contains the first danish translation of Richard III.The present translation of Shakespeare's works is considered the most important in Danish literature and became the standard version of the works.The copy belonged to the Danish literary historian Mogens Brøndsted and the renowned zoologist J. Reinhardt.
