A small stain on the spine, wraps with light edgewear and a little creasing at the corners. Else a surprisingly clean and collectible copy of this fragile and scarce publication. In near fine condition. A double issue of the important Italian Beat-magazine 'Pianeta Fresco' conceived and published by the couple Fernanda Pivano and Ettore Sottsass Jr. in Milan. Three numbers were published, no. 1 in late 1967, and the double issue no. 2-3 in early 1968, both in very limited editions. Pivano translated several of the American Beat writers into Italian, and became a friend of Allen Ginsberg, who is also credited in the colophon as 'edittore irresponsabile'. The experimental - and highly psychedelic - graphic layout of the magazine was done by Pivanos husband, Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass Jr., who in the 1980’s became a leading figure in the influential 'Memphis Group'.
