Den formåede dog ikke at udrydde den danske modvilje mod kongens tysktalende undersåtter, som kulminerede med Tyskerfejden 1789-90."(Ole Feldbæk).

A nice and clean copy. (18), 1095, 62pp. First edition of this important early Hebrew-Chaldean-Latin biblical lexicon. Heinrich Opitz began his studies at the University of Wittenberg in 1662 and later transferred to the University of Jena, where he earned his Magister degree in 1665. Opitz then focused on oriental languages during stints in Leipzig and Hamburg before traveling to Kiel in 1667 to work as a private lecturer. He embarked on a journey through the Netherlands and England three years later to deepen his understanding of oriental languages, visiting libraries in Leiden, Utrecht, and London. Opitz later went to Oxford to study oriental manuscripts before settling in Jena, where he worked with the university's philosophical faculty. In 1675, he became a professor of Greek language in Kiel, adding a professorship in oriental languages in 1679. His career progressed, culminating in his promotion to Doctor and professor of theology in 1689, followed by his appointment as an Oberkonsistorialrat in 1704. His works on the Hebrew language and Bible were influential for many years.

Second edition of Bishop Andrews’ detailed exposition of the Ten Commandments. "Andrewes was one the main influences on the formation of a distinctively Anglican theology. He was one of the Caroline Divines who distinguished Anglicanism both from Roman Catholicism and from the theology of the Continental reformers. He was a distinguished biblical scholar and one of the translators of the Authorized (King James) Version of the Bible. Andrewes' preaching was learned and deeply rooted in his experience of faith. First published in 1739, the present work examines coinage systems, focusing primarily on the German monetary system from ancient times up to the early 18th century.

He prepared his sensitive film by polishing a silver plate and immersing it in a metal perchloride solution or in chlorine water; a violent film of silver subchloride formed, which under the influence of colored glass or of the spectrum takes on the impression received and which retains this color photograph as long as subsequent light action is avoided....Niepce de Saint-Victor devoted himself from 1851 to 1866 to Becquerel's method of heliochromy with chlorinated silver plates, improved the process, and obtained more brilliant and more vivid colors than those of his predecessor."(Eder "History of Photography", p. 664).

(14), 206, (14), 12 pp. Rare later edition of Moulin’s highly popular work on logic, reasoning and argumentation explaining. It outlines the foundational components of human understanding detailing how these basic ideas are used in constructing arguments. It explains the process of organizing arguments into syllogisms, utilizing syllogistic reasoning to establish proof. Also it examines various forms of logical fallacies that may arise in reasoning. 'Elementa Logica,' first published in 1596, went through more than 50 editions and has been rated 'the most popular logic textbook of the age’. Despite its popularity and numerous editions, the work is rarely found in the trade.

From Weil 166 they are called "Sonderausgabe...". - Before 161 (up to 160) the Offprints do not have separate title and pagination (the pagination follows the numbering in the periodical). From 166 the Offprint has both separate printed title and pagination. - ( So Weil Nos 161-165 is still "Abdruck", but with separate title and pagination). These facts are not mentioned in the bibliographies.
