VD17 3:307438W / VD17 3:013237G Michael Piccart (1574-1620), tysk filosof, filolog och historiker knuten till universitetet i Altdorf där han 1599 blev professor i Logik, 1604 i poesi och slutligen 1613 professor i metafysik (Wikipedia). Caleb Trygophorus föddes i Korbach (okänt år) och dog i Küstrin 1613, han var filosof och lärare i Frankfurt. Arbetet utgörs av hans akademiska föreläsningar och tal. Första delen behandlar teologi och filosofi, andra delen utgörs av begravningstal och tredje delan innehåller diverse uppsatser skrivna för elever och adliga ynglingar.

Ett litet utdrag ur denna underhållande bok gavs ut på svenska som julhälsning av Greta & Adam Helms 1961. "Whole range of Baroque rascality in alphabetical order. Called a 2nd new and improved ed.; the prefatory notice gives an account of Ho?nn's own augmented ed. of 1730, of the pirated and bungled ed. of 1743 (a cheater cheating with a book on cheating) and of the changes in this new ed." Similar damage outer end of lower edge, 2 cm. in length with minimal loss of paper. Extensive waterstain, almost covering half the leaves, from page 621 to the end and a miscoloration in the lower outer margin from page 353, getting larger to the end. 20 x 16 cm.
