Catalogue of the collection at Rabobank Nederlands, Eindhoven. - - - (Preface:) "For five years now, and in relative quiet, an art collection featuring the work of three generations of contemporary Dutch artists has been assembled. Slowly, the contours of a collection are beginning to take shape and form a unique whole. With the publication of Unlocked No [1], a first step has been taken toward unlocking the art collections of Rabobank Nederland and several local Rabobanks. It's as if a heavy door of a bank vault is opening and the art treasures are emerging in all their complexity and individuality. In this way, we would like to share our collecting policy with you and deepen the dialogue between contemporary art and the bank. The discussion about the meaning of art for our own lives and in today's society is therefore indispensable. At the heart of this book are the artists who, through their work, acquaint us with their own personal visions. Art critic Angelique Spaninks spoke with Ger van Elk, Henk Visch and Erzsébet Baerveldt. Poetess Esther Jansma wrote a personal account of her visit to the collection. 'Unlocked' also means opening ourselves and our organization to developments in contemporary art. In this way, we would like to share our collecting policy with you and deepen the dialogue between contemporary art and the bank".
