Norsk Antikvarbokhandlerforening

In April 1942, the Norwegian Antiquarian Booksellers Association was established on the initiative of the publisher and bookseller Jørgen W. Cappelen. At the beginning, the association could not appear publicly without permission from the Nazi authorities, so the existence of the association was kept secret. A few meetings were held, but it was not until the summer of 1948 that things really got going with J. W. Cappelen as the first chairman.

As a member of the Norwegian Antiquarian Booksellers Association (NABF), the seller are also a member of The International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB), an association that consists of more than 20 national associations with around 2,000 members from all over the world.

All members of the NABF adhere to a set of ethical regulations that the industry has set for itself in all business transactions.
