Overdådigt udstyret marinehistorie, selvsagt med lange passager af allerstørste danske interesse. Skam og skade, at der aldrig er præsteret en dansk flådehistorie i samme udstyr. Det ikke just prangende tilløb fra 1990'erne gik hjælpeløst i stå.

2 parts in 1 volume. Nyon, Paris 1759. On good paper. (4)+288+222+(6) pages. Engraved frontispiece portrait. Titlepages printed in red and black. Contemporary marbled calf with richly gilt spine, * Turenne (1611-75) was a main character in the bloody wars of the 17th century, being the greatest genius of warfare of the period and one of the best in this trade in the history of mankind. He joined the Dutch army at the age of 14, and changed sides numerous times in the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War and the period after. Of course he was killed by a cannon ball. He rests next to Napoleon in the Dôme des Invalides in Paris.
