* Highly interesting book on the Middle East and especially on Egypt; Sandys [1568-1648] had to make quite a bit of guessing regarding the pyramids and the history of Egypt.
** The ESTC entry [S114571] calls for two plates besides the titleleaf, whereof one is an engraved map. This copy collates differently, as the map is replaced with the allegorical engraving of the Nile.
